Mr. Toad's Ride question

I have heard a little about this legendary ride, what kind of ride was it? We are there in sept, our first trip, saw in a couple of guide books how "toadsters" are still missing it, and someone I work with is still upset it was removed.
Can anyone give a history, or a picture. Sounds like it was fun......... Veterans?????

I miss that ride so much. It was one of my favorites rides growing up. My sister and I loved the way the car moved through the different scenes. It really was a wild ride and deeply missed. It is so much better than the Snow White ride that replaced it. It was a great ride for both kids and adults. :guilty:

Toad's Wild Ride was replaced bu the Winnie the Pooh ride not Snow White's Scarey Ride.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was my favorite - despite my love for Pooh, I was incredibly sad to see it go. It wound through many scenes from the book "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. You saw a snapshot of the life of Mr. Toad and his friends while riding in an old, model T style car in the dark. It becomes apparent that Mr. Toad has made some bad choices in his life and you (and him, I suppose) are run over by a train and make a quick stop in H E double hockey stick. It sounds really "dark" I know, but it was fun because it was lighthearted and silly one minute and scary the next. I remember riding it as a little kid over and over, just loving it. To add insult to injury, they announce it's closing the day before my birthday :mad:
