Mr. Potato Head

I read somewhere that there is a place in DL that you can buy Mr. Potato Head and all the parts you can fit in a box for like $15.00 ? I think they had a Darth Vader potato etc, anyone know where this is? Also do they have a mickey's 50th potato head?

There's one in California Adventure. As soon as you enter the park and pass under the "Golden Gate Bridge" there is a toy store on the left but I can't remember the name.

In Disneyland, back in Toontown, the shop behind Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin has them.

I haven't paid attention to what is there, so I can't tell you if there is Darth Tater or 50th anniversary stuff or not. But one tip, don't buy the head at the parks, just pick one up at home. You are charged one price for as much as you can stuff in the box, doesn't matter if you buy a head or not. So without a head, you can fit more parts in.

I think the DCA one is called Engine Ears Toys. The cost for the fill-your-own box was about $18. We didn't buy the potato itself, but managed to cram in a ton of acessories.

The Darth Tater was being sold at the store outside of Space Mountian for about $12.00. We bought it, but just recently found it at our local Target for about $7.00.

Haven't seen a 50th anniversary one.

I bought Darth Tator at a local store (I think Walmart has them too) and I'm going to surprise my husband with him on the trip. Then we will have a body and can get the box of parts at DL or DCA.

I don't know what parts they have though. Maybe someone else can help you out with that.

I haven't seen anything 50th related for Mr. Potato yet, but we did pick up Darth Tater, which I did later see on toyrus.com along with "Spud Trooper" too cool!

I hope 50th anniversary pieces come out, as it is we have a very well accessorized potato!

FYI...there is a Target right down Harbor from the DLR

Also, if you do buy the head at the parks...stuff the inside full too before putting it in the box and continue filling around it!

Found Darth Tater online at Target online for 6.99...I am assuming the price in stores would be the same (of course add tax in CA)

Wow! Thanks for posting the link Itldeb - You Rock! I made the mistake of opening the link just before my dd walked out the door to get on the school bus and she was almost late because she was oohing and ahhing over all the accessories, I couldn't drag her away LOL I think it's safe to say that we will be coming home with a Mr. Potato Head outfitted with a minnie bow and any princess attire that we can find.

Has anyone found Spud Trooper at a store, (not online)? I'm having trouble finding one and it's my husband's birthday a week after we get back. I'd love to give him this to add to what we get at DCA.

You are very welcome for the link. Last time we were at DL, which was Columbus Day weekend, we did find some of the 2005 parts in the toy store just inside of DCA.

As far as I know, Spud Trooper hasn't hit the stores yet.

Darth Tater is on sale at Kmart TODAY ONLY for $3.99. It was listed in their Sunday ad as one of their one day toy specials.

I'm so excited! We're going to DL 11/19 & 11/20, and then spending a week in Palm Desert with the whole family in a two-bedroom condo! While it's nice to go (and it's free to stay), I've been very worried about what my three kids will do for all that time.
This weekend I purchased two darth taters at 7.50 and one Mrs. PotatoHead at 6.50 for the kids (wish I had known about the K-mart thing, that would have been even better!) But, I've got the taters and can't wait to get all the cool accessories!!!! Way fun! Not sure who will play with it more, me or them!

I pre-ordered one from the Star Wars shop online and received it last week (it comes complete with a little potato masher!). I haven't seen it in stores yet. I am on the lookout for one more.

Yeah, I am right there with you! Bought DS (5) Mr Potato Head and all the Disney accessories during our WDW trip in March. The kid couldn't possibly care any less! A whole drawer full of spud-cessories and the tater sits naked on a shelf. I think Darth Tater and Spud Trooper are going on MY Christmas list!! Alas, no K-Marts left in Dallas/Ft. Worth. . .

I was so excited to get some more potato head parts this weekend, but there are NOT any in Toontown of DL - only in CA. My girlfriends and I just did DL one day as part of a vacation, so no CA. The guy in the Toontown shop didn't even know what I was talking about, and another cast member said they were only in CA. Just giving updated info. Otherwise the trip was awesome!
