I think I read somewhere that there is a Mr Potato Head stand in DLP somewhere where you can fill a box with bits and pieces, can anyone confirm this? Anyone know roughly how much the box is?

Also, I am thinking about buying a Mr Potato Head off ebay for my boyfriend so he can fill the box just with bits, is this doable or will the pieces not fit ones that aren't bought in the shop if that makes sense? Thanks in advance!

yes you can do this and i think the box is around 15 euros

i am not sure if they will fit any mr potato head though

Theres a big display of Mr Potato Head and bits and boxes in the big store in The Village, and theres also one in the store in the Studios (just as you come into the Studios on your left past the entrance turnstiles). I think theres also a Mr Potato Head section in the store next to the Buzz Lightyear ride in Discoveryland. They're not that expensive for a filled box - around 15 euros if I remember right.

Yes, you can fill a box with Mr Potato Head bits, and not have Mr Potato Head in if you like. The bits will fit a standard Mr Potato Head (they are the same brand, just with different boxes :)).

They were definately e15.00 when we went in March. We thought about doing one then but DS wanted a cuddley Woody instead! We're going to buy them both one this time instead. They had little fantasia type sorcerers hats for him and alsorts so I can't wait!! lol. I think it'll be me picking everything whilst the little ones run riot round everything else with Daddy!! :-)

Oooh yay thats great news, thanks everyone! Just in case anyone is thinking of doing the same thing, Play.com has the normal Mr Potato Head for 5 pounds or Spud Lightyear for 7.50 with free delivery, bargain! :D Tempted to get the buzz one, can't wait to see Bens face when I give it to him!!

We got one last week at the store at the entrance to the studios, it had a bigger selection of bits than the one on the village. I got the Potato head as well so my wee boy could play with it when we were away and it all seems to mix and match with the family he has at home. I just opened the back and stuffed loads of stuff inside as well. 15 euros

They must have had the full Buzz costume but we could only get a couple of bits, the stand was pretty popular and we got ours near the end of the park day, maybe check it out on a couple of mornings when its just been re-stocked for the biggest selection...

Such a good price! Was watching loads on eBay that were going for 8 quid upwards so I'm so happy to get a brand new one! I went for the original in the end as I want him to start his collection properly :) EXCITING

Thanks so much for the tips Wendy! I'll definitely check out the Studios one early one morning and hopefully there'll be lots! Is it quite a big box?

fab idea about putting bits inside thanks!!

The box is not that big, definately need to put stuff inside. We got (from memory) the head, 2 lots eyes, ears, 2 different mouths, arms, a Mickey Hand, Buzz Body bit, funny hair, high heel shoes, cowboy boots, 2 Mickey sorcerer hats. Think was basically one of everything they had, I put the hair and the Buzz body on the potato to save room.

My wee boy likes having more than 1 potato head, so they can be a family so even if you have the basic one it might be worthwhile especially if you can 'stick all the bits and bobs up his bum' (as my wee boy said) before putting him in the box

Happy shopping.

I think technically you have to have the potato too, a CM told the family behind me that was the case & the box has to shut. The family behind me had theirs overflowing! & it wouldn't shut. However I only got the parts as I already had a potato & was never told I couldn't buy it although you couldn't tell from the outside

I've also bought just the odd bit when I have seen something we haven't already got and the pieces are €2.50 each that way.
