Do they still have these in CA? Have they added any new pieces since last summer? TIA for any help you can give

They do still have these at the DCA toy shop. Not sure about the new pieces...

Don't know if any of the pieces are new, but here is a list of some of the pieces we picked up in February.

Tinkerbell hair and shoes
Princess Minnie hat
Red Hat with a flower
Pirate hat and shoes
Incrdibles bodysuit and arms
Dream and Mickey Ears
Mickey hands
Dumbo ears
Little Mermaid body
Two different Goofy hats
Mickey ice cream cone
Cinderella shoe on a pillow
Mickey balloon
Disneyland suitcase
Mickey video camera and camera

Hope that helps.

We LOVE the Mr. PotatoHead pieces and parts!!!!
In fact, that's always MY souvenir! And you would never believe how many parts I can cram into that box!!!

and Yakety...I noticed that you're from Idaho....:thumbsup2
Potato capital of the world, right?

They also have a potato head piece area at the Gag Factory (I think that's its name) in ToonTown. My experience with it was disappointing; small and I had everything that I wanted there, but there have been other Dis'ers that mention it's all luck of when you get there, and they have found tons of good stuff! :)

I love these; except the first time I grabbed two right arms so he looked very funny until I was able to "fix" this mistake!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I don't know who loves the Mr Potato stuff more - DD6 or me! :rotfl: I was kinda hoping that there wouldn't be too much new stuff out there, but then I see that there is Dream ears! I just know I'm gonna want to buy those if I see them!

How much is it? Sounds like fun:cutie:

You can either buy an empty box you can stuff with pieces for $18 or you can buy a large Mr. Potato Head shaped container to stuff with pieces for $45. The potato container is probably comparable in size to 3-4 boxes depending on how well you can fit things in.

Tip: Don't buy the potato head body at DL, go buy a generic set at Wal-Mart or somewhere for $6 pr $7 and then just get exclusive DL pieces at DL.

You can buy them in Engine-EARS in DCA or the Gag Factory in DL in Toon Town. I don't know if the large container would be worth it unless you are getting multiples of the pieces, just because I do not know if there are enough DL exclusive pieces to fill the container. But inventory changes, so you never know.

They also had the large containers at the Disney outlet store down the road a couple of months ago (don't know if they still do), but I think they were filled with generic pieces. I think I have also seen the large containers with generic pieces at Costco a long time ago, and Wal-Mart maybe?

HTH!!! :goodvibes

I just got back and I filled a box for a souvenir for my 2 year old son. I was surprised with how many parts there were! I probably could have filled up one of the giant containers. I was able to fit quite a bit of stuff in the smaller box. I got the Buzz Lightyear bottom and shoes, Donald Duck's bill and hat (Buzz & Donald are Alex's top 2 characters), and a ton of other random stuff. I also snuck in some princess pieces for mommy! princess: He probably won't realize that for a few years. :rotfl:

I think $18 is a good deal for this unique souvenir. There was even a cast member in there helping people get the most for their money.

Today is my daughter's 5th birthday and she got a Potato Head! I can't wait until we can load that box in August. However, she is referring to it as Mrs. Potato Head. When I said that we would buy Buzz, Woody, etc. She informed me that it was a girl and that we would only buy "girl" stuff. Is there enough "girl" stuff to fill a box??

Thanks - Tracy

It seemed to me that there was plenty of "girl" stuff, because there was tons of stuff that I wanted! I don't think you will have a problem filling a box with stuff that will please your DD. There are also some gender neutral accessories like the Mickey Ice Cream Bars.

Have fun!

The stuff is adorable, for both boys and girls. For all the pieces we always get the price is reasonable. I admit to liking it myself! :) Don't know if they'll have anything new for us this time (we were just there in October). But if they do we'll be coming home with a box or two! :)

Uugh! They didn't have the Incredibles parts or Tinkerbell stuff when I went in April. Or the Dumbo ears!:headache: But I did get a ton of stuff. I got at least one of every piece they had. Thus, I had to get the big potato head to put in it.:rotfl:

Bummer that they didn't have these. The Dumbo ears are my favorites.

Also, I don't know if anyone else is as unobservant as I am, but make sure you pick up the hands they have there. I was wanting to get only the special Disney pieces to fill my, I mean my kids', boxes. I skipped right over the hands thinking they were just hands. We got back to the hotel room that night and realized you need the special hands to hold all the things like balloons, cameras, etc. Thankfully a wonderful CM took pitty on us and gave us two of each hand. The CM said you cannot buy them anywhere else, so you need to get them there.

Alright already! This thread is just getting me way too excited about Mr. Potato Head. DD has had a few bodies and generic pieces for a few years now, but doesn't play with them much. Last time we cleaned out her room, I suggested donating them since she doesn't play with them, but she wasn't ready to let them go. It's time for another cleaning and I was planning to convince her this time.

Then I read this thread. I knew about the pieces before our last trip, and I steered clear knowing she doesn't play with them. But I have to admit I'm a Potato Head fan myself and all this talk has me excited.

So against my better judgement, I guess Potato and family are staying and the collection will grow on our next trip!

Geez, I'm a sucker!

We looked at these at DCA on our last trip, but didn't have time to buy them then. They are really neat! We will be getting some of the Jedi parts for DS. :chewy: :yay:
