Has anyone else seen him take his ear off and then try to put it back on and miss the hole and it fall off?

I did once at WDW. Saw it after someone in the que asked him to take it off. A CM had to come out and put it back on.

LOL - I didn't see it happen but entered the queue once and saw it laying on the floor next to him (and remembered reading about how he seems to have a problem with that ear)

I was recently told by a DCA CM that the feature was disabled because it didn't work. I think it would be hilarious to watch!

There was a neat episode on the History Channel of "Modern Marvels - Walt Disney World" that was re-airing yesterday. They went over a bunch of the TSM stuff, including Mr. Potato Head. I managed to get it on DVR but the thing is 2 hours long and I haven't watched it all yet, but I saw the TSM stuff and it was pretty cool!

It did seem to be a problem. We've seen it both ways, a couple times when he took his ear off and got it back in successfully and once when he dropped it.

We've never seen him take his ear off. My boys tried asking him, but he ignored them. Maybe that was turned off like someone said.

I saw it happen at Disneyland once, a CM turned him off and put his ear back in. I didn't realize you could ask him to do it! I might be too old to do that without looking ridiculous...

My opinion as well! I am the mid 30's gal usually by myself.. sometimes with other adults standing in line to get my pictures and autographs!
My only wish is that when I hand my camera off to other people that they would grab more pictures. Sometimes they only take the posed one and not any of the interaction with the characters which are the best photos to have but hard to get when traveling solo!

My guess is that is a combination, although lately he doesn't seem to talk as much as he did in the beginning
