We are sailing the MR for the 2nd time on January 29th 1012. We reshopped this cruise while on-board our first cruise ever this year, the Feb. 6 MR sailing. We chose a week earlier for 2 reasons... NO SUPERBOWL!!, and my birthday in January 31st so nice to celebrate it while at sea.

We did Fish extenders on our first cruise and haven't decided if we'll do it again... but for anyone sailing with us i would recommend you look into it. A lot of fun.

So, if you are booked on this sailing, please let me know names/ages/gender so we can get acquainted :)

My family consists of:

Hi Roxanne

Our family is also on this sailing. Our first Disney cruise was last February on the Dream (B2B) and my girls loved it. So we booked on board for this one. My DH and I did the MR in Jan. 2010 on RCI but the weather was very rainy in the ports (which is very unusal we were told) so hopefully we will have better luck this time.

Our family consists of Me (Lisa), DH and DDs 8 and almost 6 when we sail. Looks like our girls are around the same ages.

We are in a SPH room 5020. On the Dream we were in an inside with the virtual porthole and we all loved it.

We also participated in the FE and it was one of the highlights for the girls. They loved coming back to the room and checking to see if they got any "mail". We would probably do it again if there are enough others interested because the girls would be dissapointed not to take part.

Look forward to chatting with you.

I'd love to sail the Dream, but we live closer to LA so we tend to travel there more often. Your family is very lucky :)
We loved our cruise this year. I cried and cried when we had to leave... stood on our veranda and sobbed!! We ran into our table mates in the luggage room at the port and that made me cry even harder! Who am I kidding? Just talking about it now makes me teary. :sad1:

We live in the center of Canada, right above North Dakota. Travelling to anywhere in the US is expensive for us, so it doesn't make a difference whether we go east or west!

I would love to have a verandah cabin, but we're keeping costs down by having an inside room, luckily we got one of the secret porthole rooms so we will have some natural light. When my DH cruised 2x prior on RCI we had balcony rooms and loved them.

On the Dream we had no tablemates just a table for 4. I wonder what we'll get for this cruise.

Whenever I say I'm from Winnipeg no one usually has a clue where that is, that's why I describe it relation to the US!!

Hi everyone...

My name is Marc and my wife's name is Dawn. We may take this cruise for our 10th anniversary combined with a few days at Disneyland. I paid the deposit and we are in a Cat 10A - one of the deluxe inside staterooms with the free obstructed porthole. We're not 100% sure we want to go to the MR; never been before and have been reading mixed reviews. But we have 6 months until the rest of the payment is due, so plenty of time to decide.

By the way, we are Platinum Castaway Club members. This will be our 11th Disney cruise.

lcvb, if my wife and I stay on this cruise, I just realized we may be neighbors! As of right now, we're in SPH 5022.

This will be my first cruise with Disney:yay:. Will be traveling with mom, brother, sister in law and 2 nieces. Can't wait! =)

I hope you keep your booking... The Mex.riviera is gorgeous. I am sure you will find it very different than your other DCL cruises, but it is such a great experience :). We do Disneyland every year and once we took our first cruise we realized that the cruise was our perfect vacation.

Hi Marc

I second Moomy-san; you need to stay on this sailing! My DH and I did this itinerary on RCI the exact same week in 2010. We loved the ports and never felt unsafe. In Mazatlan we did horseback riding on the beach and in PV we did the zipling adventure. It was awesome! :thumbsup2

My DH and I are also celebrating our 10th anniversary, this June, but we're waiting til the winter to really celebrate so we can escape the cold. We're also going to be spending 5 days pre-cruise at Disneyland.

Since we'd also be nieghbors it would be great to get to know you beforehand.

Welcome to the group. You'll love sailing on Disney. Our first cruise was a B2B on the Dream in Feb. We all had the best time. Our two girls even thought it was better than Disney World!

We will be joining this cruise. Did a lot of fretting about the travel as we are booked in at Aulani on Feb 5th. I figure we will be the ones running off the ship the minute it docks, so everyone get out of our way as we have a plane to catch:yay:

If you think telling people you are from Winnipeg gets strange looks, you should try saying you are from the Yukon!!!!!

This is the quiet-est board ever!! Are you folks getting excited yet? Started thinking about excursions? We are thinking of doing a whale watching tour in Cabo. Did the dolphin swim last year... would love to do it again but it's a bit pricey for an hour. We can book excursions etc. on Halloween, thinking of booking Palo for brunch and dinner too. Anyone else doing Palo?

Did any of you take advantage of the kids sail free promo? Our TA rebooked us and saved us $650... we lost our 10% onboard booking discount and our OBC, but still came out $650 ahead. Not bad at all. That's why we use a TA!

Hope everyone is enjoying their fall... take care :grouphug:

The Alderson Family from Anchorage, Alaska will be on this cruise in stateroom #8534 - category T. We are:
Tim (Blindzebra)
Laurie
Harriet (age 2, turning 3 on this cruise)
Liza (age 5)

I just booked all of our Port Adventures. We are doing the Paradise Beach Resort in PV. Dolphin encounter, whale watch and Beach Resort in Cabo.

Also booked Palo dinner and brunch as well as a spa day for the mama.

We showed the kids the cruise planning DVD last night and they are so excited!

Happy Fall everyone!

Where in the Yukon? My Dad lives in Tagish and I grew up across the border in Skagway.

HI ALASKANS!
We are from Soldotna and will be on the same cruise!! We have 6 kids, but only 5 will join us, the 6th is in college. Here's to any weather that's not Alaskan in January :cool1:

Man, lots of Northerners on this cruise!! We are on the same latitude as southern Alaska. -40 is very common here in January... hence, the tradition to go to Disneyland at that time of year. We'll be able to spot each other a mile away... the only people in shorts at sail-away!!!

We just rechecked and rebooked our flights thru WestJet... added a day more for DL, and even with the $50/person change-flight fee, we ended up with a $470 travel credit!!!

I guess the pools will be full no matter what the weather! Our family is usually the only ones in the pool at WDW in January:goodvibes

Us northerners don't really care what the temp is, we grab the sun where ever we can because we didn't have any this summer...we are looking forward to this cruise, I think we are going to fly in the day before the cruise and stay at the doubletree inn... anyone else staying there???
