MR January 29 2012- Who's in?

I love it! I'm horrible at any spread sheet-ing :scared1:

I will take one! And will be prepared for any cabin changes.

I didn't want to say on the main board, but I realized (after someone told me that other's will do the same thing but not "join" our group) that I did see just plain bags like from Target or a gift type bag. That works for too, but now I realize that maybe they saw what was going on and said "I want those too!" :rotfl: And just didn't know that people pre plan for this. :wizard: And I mean pre-plan - like I'm waiting for my order to arrive !!!! And my mom is coming to help put it together!!! And we have spreadsheets!!! LOL!

Okay, so, truth is, I developed a spreadsheet of all FE group members, and have it organized by deck. Yes, I know, I am nuts :rotfl: (and I think in good company based on some other posts) which is why I didn't post anything yet :rolleyes1. But I can already envision that it will make delivery MUCH easier - and from what you said, much better to ensure it gets to the right rooms!

I will bring a copy for each participating stateroom! I can make changes up until a week before, as I'll not have access to a printer after that.

Moomy-san, I can connect with you and email it to you before the cruise so you can double check (if you don't mind). Can you send me a private message with your email?

You all are so freakin fantastic ...love the organized group makes it so much fun ... So do we think we.ll each be given a day to deliver like am or p.m ?
 
Well, now my mom mentions that she's afraid to get off the ship in PV. I said I reserved the PARADISE BEACH ADVENTURE (9:45 am - 2:45 pm) and she just looked, umm, unsure! :confused:

For Cabo, which feels safer at: Day 1 Dolphin Encounter @11:45 am - 1:15 pm
Day 2 - Cabo Resort Pool Getaway 8:15 am to 12:44 pm

I just mentioned very lightly that after two sea days, she may feel excited to get off the ship. If she can talk to others who going on the same excursion, I'm sure she'll feel much better.

I'm also prepared that she may not want to do the second day in Cabo and stay on board with Dnephew5. But I still want to take DD13 with me.

I'm completely aware we don't want to be joined at the hip :thumbsup2

One more day of putting ALL my xmas stuff away and I'm going into serious packing mode. Funny, it all was so easy to put up, but taking it down, packing it away then cleaning up. Ugh! I'm on my 3rd day! :lmao:

Yeah I totally feel where your mom is coming from ... I initially had the same concern but DH assured me that staying with the dcl excursions would help keep us safe p,us I figure we dress down while out and about outta help too ... In pv we are doing the cooking adventure from my DS 7 he is super excited and in Cabot day one a snorkeling trip ... I can't wait ....

That's kind of funny you should mention that... I almost asked earlier if we wanted to assign days!! But then I thought that would totally take the fun, spontaneity and anonymity away. So I kept my inner voice quiet (bound and gagged deep inside me)... but a part of me just can't handle the disorder :rotfl2:

We are all so much alike we should be fast friends once we meet IRL. I can't wait!!:hug:

I agree with the spontaneity but I figure if all of us OCD types divvy up dates and like am pm I think it works out to like 2 times a day worth of surprise .... Or if left to whenever could get like zero one day and five another ... I don't know maybe I am eing Way tooooo OCD ...
 
I've tried to set up a call a few times since before Christmas, I can never get it to work:sad2::sad2: It always says that I might have gotten my 2 calls.... I can't even book one.:confused3

Can anyone tell me how to make or figure out the character call .... I wanna do that for my boys soooo bad ... :banana:

Go to your reservation at Disney Cruise Line. Toward the bottom of the page you will see "Have our characters call your characters!" I believe you can have two calls per reservation. Goofy, Mickey or Aerial :love:

Having a 5 year old that may nap, who knows when, I'm on the mercy of his schedule re: delivering FE. I'd like him to do some and then I'll take over :thumbsup2
 
I will do best with a non scheduled time for FE time. With the 2 little ones I will probably wondering the halls all hours of the day and night. Figure it will give me something to do when Andrew is up at 3 AM... which will probably be 6 AM maybe. Who knows. LOL... but I will just load up the stroller and have fun! :dance3:

As for Character calls I have no clue how it really works because it keeps giving me the same error response. :sad2:

Thanks for call tip that is sooo helpful. As for the FE I am totally flexible I just have no idea how it's works once we are there this is my first time ... So whatever works for ya,ll I will roll with it ..

On our last cruise we threw caution to the wind and went spontaneous... It worked out fine. If I weren't on vacation, I would definitely want more of a schedule BUT- Part of the fun is coming back to your room and the FE being empty- and then next time its overflowing. We spread our deliveries out over several days- there are too many wonderful things going on to devote 1-2 hours at one time to devote to delivering stuff. You'll see, it will work out just fine :)

I pretty much read the entire book as if I've never been on a cruise before. I'm finally getting excited

I had DS watching Disney videos on You Tube last night and now he's finally starting to understand what's going on. I showed him the planning video and an hour later we had watched about 15 videos :rotfl:

So ready for the next 23 days to go by
 
On our last cruise we threw caution to the wind and went spontaneous... It worked out fine. If I weren't on vacation, I would definitely want more of a schedule BUT- Part of the fun is coming back to your room and the FE being empty- and then next time its overflowing. We spread our deliveries out over several days- there are too many wonderful things going on to devote 1-2 hours at one time to devote to delivering stuff. You'll see, it will work out just fine :)

I fully trust with this group .. all will be well ... it's like a secret pal exchange .. leaving mystery is part of the fun .. heheheh

DH & I have some dry erase boards to donate so folks can check out meet & greets if we want to use them. It was also helpful for some families who needed more folks on their excursion.

we were assigned days... we made survival bags for each cabin and those HAD to be given out on the 1st day.

BUT, it is easier for folks to "freestyle" deliver, that's OK too.:banana:
 
Ok, so, as the spreadsheeter, I am definitely a planner, but in this case I vote for the "as you can" rather than scheduling - that way we can incorporate it with the other activities we are doing, and don't have to feel we HAVE to do it at a certain time. Spontaneity may do us planners good!
 
disnanny, I drove by the double tree the other day and the closest liquor store is .7 miles away. It is an easy walk but I would imagine what you will buy might get heavy. I would suggest to walk it in the day time as the liquor store itself is a little shady. It is on the corner of Pacific and 22nd street.

thanks so much for doing this for us. We arrive early in the afternoon so we could probably head down there as soon as we check in and pick up a couple of bottles of wine for the cruise.
We also thought of checking with the hotel to see if there is any sort of shuttle to Walmart.

I think the closest Walmart to San Pedro is downtown Long Beach on 5th. Street. I could be wrong. There is also a Walmart in Gardena/Torrance area on 190th. Street/Normandie Aves. but again that one is a little further away
 
You guys are so organized! I have most of my FE gifts done and just need to pick up some more adult things this weekend..I need to make a few magnets and t-shirts...oh and still pack!

We are doing the Las Caletas in PV and whale watching on 2nd day with Pez Gato...anyone ever do this? Little nervouse as we booked ourselves, but Disney one was sold out!

I'm trying to pack and think of things I normally wouldn't pack on vacation...like Bonine, mosquito repellant, pockets for over door, power strip for things...anyone else have ideas that we don't usually need for this cruise? Cant wait to meet some of you!
