Goodmorning. Guess I am it for breakfast today:

I have Starbucks Mocha Frappucinos set up on the patio with chocolate dipped fruit.

The infamous t-shirt thread is now over on the Craft/Cook/Scrap board. There is a specific thread for images and another thread for tips. It should be a lot easier for people who now might want to browse for images.

My folks are here until Friday. We went through pictures tonight while NC Beast was napping. I might get to scan some if there is time and maybe share online (maybe). They have a picture of me at age 8 with a white purse with Minnie Mouse on it and my sister had just a flower on her purse. No wonder my sister gets jealous every time I mention Disney.

Well, I better get ready for bed. I got to get up and make breakfast.

Have a great day/night!

:rotfl: She and my sister should form a club together!

Goodmorning. Tough stuff at work today.

Hey, I've got something to spark some discussion today.... I am contemplating having an Octoberfest Party at my house. Can you guys give me some ideas on decorations and party ideas that don't involve tons of work, and are cost effective (i.e. cheap)?

NC Belle Say hi to your folks for me and you MUST post those cute pics! ::yes::

Geffric How was Eric's birthday party? :confused3 I need to know what to expect next year!!! :p

Hey Kadaten and Castlegazer, check out the name of the latest hurricane!!! ;) :Pinkbounc

Hi everyone.... Long days this week and next week...
:wave2:

castlegazer, for Oktoberfest, the bear suit is an absolute MUST... Beir Steins are important. If all else fails just print a banner...;)

OK, I am really missing going on a cruise; some customers just got back from one and I am sooooo jealous.....

No ideas, but I would like to ATTEND an Octoberfest party in Mass. ::yes::

I scanned some of the pictures after my folks went to bed. I'm not sure when I will be ready to show them off---what we we thinking in the '70s?

I'm way past my bedtime.

Morning all. Not so talkative!!

Castlegazer, what a fun idea. I thought about having one too but my hubby will be gone in Sept and that is the best time for Oktoberfest. I'd say beer steins, like OF said and I'd string some lights up. Have fest tables, pretzels-the big ones, get yourself a dundle ( i think that is how it is spelled) one of the German dresses with an apron. hmmmm brats and brots for sure. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. I bet if you do a search on throwing a Oktoberfest party, you will come up with a lot of ideas.

Belle, enjoy your family

Cadsmom, sorry you were blue about Jordan's first day. I feel like such a bad mom since I was so happy!!! hehehe

Geffric, slow down girl. You are making me tired looking at your activities!! How did the colleage turn out?

Hi Cindy39 and Ibounce!! :cheer2:

Off to start the morning. Sending off my first package to Sam today. Spent $90 on stuff. She hasn't been gone a week!! :earseek:

Hi everyone...

yesterday was busy busy busy... Both kids off to school Finally!!! I can tell that we are going to have a bit of a morning challenge, both kids have to get up at the same time and leave at the same time.. this has not happened in 4 years!!

well, yesterday, i went downtown, so DH has the extreme pleasure of dealing with both boys ..:rotfl2: . (insert sadistic laugh here) . unlike a women that I work with, he didn;t have to dress them, brush their hair, put their shoes on.. nope!! all he had to do was get them up at 6:30 am ( yes, getting teens up at 6:30 AM is contra to their body clock and the defination of teens) remind them to brush their teeth. make sure that they have had breakfast, glance at their clothes and make sure that they are not torn or faded, and ensure that the boys have packed their lunch and are out the door by 7:15...

well he was soooooo tired after that, and then he had to go to work too, that he got home from work and couldn't do ANYTHING!!! cuase he had such a difficult morning.. So today i am working from home , went to exercise at 5 am, got back, shower and dressed, got the kids up, did all of the above mentioned things, plus made coffee and breakfast for DH and I, cleaned up the kitchen, will do a few loads of laundry, work a full day, run car pool for football, make dinner etc.. on well no sense at being miffed at the folks with low energy!!:confused3

I have made a nice breakfast for us all.. scrambled chocolate eggs, hash browns, Starbucks chocolate coffee lattee, and a big glass of OJ and some chocolate cake for dessert..

go back to bed girlfriend!!! ugh~! :cloud9:

CMOM..I wish.!!. but being a quota carrying sales rep, just wouldn't do need to make my numbers this month..

anyway, how are you doing?? What did you get Sam for her first care package??

Yeah, my husband does the same thing. He was giving me no end of grief the other night because I brought home a patio table top I got for free and we had to offload it after the kids went to bed - he was soo tired because he had taken our daughter to the doctors, brought the kids home and made the dinner that he didn't want to have to do the off-loading thing.

I certainly should bite my tongue, though as he does make dinner (in fact this morning when we switched cars I had to ask him if he needed his cookbooks sitting on the front seat or not), does laundry, does dishes, does the trash, and basically I sit and eat bon bons (just kidding, but it sometimes is a little off-balance).

Goodmorning everyone. Thanks for the help with the party - now we will see if I get up the energy to do this. I am travelling again in September which makes our weekends to do this a little limited - yeah, I know to have it in September, I am 100% German (my Mom's parents still spoke German at home).

Good Morning all...

Mind if I go hide in a corner while you laugh at your poor, over-worked, under aprecuated husbands :rotfl2:

I think I will resemble some of those remarks....

:jumping2:

Hey everyone!

castlegazer, the party sounds like a blast. Just make sure there's lotsa beer & brats and it will be successful, mainly beer. ;) Oh, and I don't think the Stones are worth $500, although the box seats look awfully sweet. If you can bring Jerry back to play with The Dead (ha!), then I'll pay $500.

geffric, you are something else, woman. I's impressed.

ibouncetoo, I love that Red Sox/Mickey shirt. Very cute.

cadsmom, thanks for the picture compliments, you are TOO sweet..

cheeringmom, how's Sam? How's UF (she is at UF, right?)? Does she love it. Is she going through rush? What's up? How about Tom? What' year is he this year? Junior? Does he like his new school? Is Lauren in school this year? Josh started Kindergarten last week & seems to like it. He's not jumping for joy to go or anything, but he's also not begging me not to take him, so I figure that's good. :)

Ok Ladies where do you find these do-it-all husbands? I am the do-it-all at our house, DH's mother ruined him for me! LOL ok he does take out the trash that I have bagged and tied for him. :) princess:
