I just had to post this picture... a couple of days ago, we found him standing in his crib, talking to the sheep.. I guess he didn't understand that he was supposed to count them...

Regrding Ohana's there was even a thread on the CB about it....I'll see if I can find it and come back and post a link here. They are taking the skewer shrips away and having some kind of shrimp dish (with small shrimp) on the tray. Also the green beans on the tray are history (loved those). Yes, the kids LOVED the beach/ocean. Even Lainie, the chicken, loved jumping in the waves.

Jingles, huh? I'll have to tell Lainie.

Hey Oddball....did you start school? Its been real quiet around here without you. I need to have NC Beast take a latest photo of me---my shortest cut in decades. 13+ inches off Jessie did not recognize me at first--kept her distance all night.

i started last moday!! its been great so far, but its probably gonna get worse this week. omg!!! that's a LOT of hair cut off!!! aawww, poor jessie!!

garden grille used to be SO good!! i HATE how they changed the menu. its boring now. they need to bring the old style back, it was SO much better!!! sci fi is so cool. the food isnt my favorite, but the atmosphere is amazing, lol!! i liked it a lot.

ibouncetoo, CHANGES AT OHANA??? ? What are you talking about??? Holy crap, why must they mess with my favorite place? I must go look into this. I was thinking about trying Boma, but maybe we'll do another Epcot place. I haven't been to Le Cellier or Rose & Crown and both of those look good to me.

geffric, when are you going to be there? Where are you staying? What's the scoop? I'd love to at least catch up with you somewhere. My husband still thinks I'm nuts for talking to you axe murderers, but I could ditch him for a bit.

I did not know they changed Ohana's. Gotta check that out.

But I DO know they changed the Garden Grill....the menu didn't look like "us" so we didn't try it, but the reviews have not been great.

I haven't made any ADRs yet---I don't want to over spend after just adding a couple of days. I might do some ADRs if we get a code.

If money was no object our ADR list would include:
*Le Cellier, CRT (dinner and maybe lunch), Crystal Palace, LTT (lunch and dinner), V&A (j/k---I don't think I'm that big on 5 star gourmet), Jiko, Boma (breakfast and Dinner), and Yachtsman Steakhouse. I would like to try several others like Prime Time or Sci-Fi.

We are going to be sampling our way around Epcot, Casey's, and definitely Beaches and Cream.

We planning to go to at least one party night and maybe try Jellyrolls (?).

Anyone heard from RickinNYC lately?

ibouncetoo - you have killed 'Ohana for me. Against every one else, I am not a fan to begin with - I know shock, shock, shock

- but here's the thing, the two things I actually did like were the shrimp skewers and the beans. So, I guess you all won't have to fight me for a ADR (or PS or whatever).

DHB - I will make it a big point to look at your pics tonight. I am busy scrapping every night now on the computer and having tons of fun - but completely neglecting our new PS2.

I have an ADR suggestion for you. Have you all been to Whispering Canyon? I am totally into planning my one day and night at WDW next spring and every time I do I get more and more excited to eat here.

I also was driving to work today and thought I really needed to ask you how its going with full day kindergarten. Are you still sad or have you gotten used to it? How is he liking it and doing?

My weekend was great - but no big princess stuff to tell you all about. We decided at the last minute to stay home. I gardened, worked on my computer setting up a new printer, my old DVD recording drive (which needed to be reinstalled after the computer rehab), and started work on scrapping. We just basically hung around the house with the kids which was good. The next two weekends we are away for.

Ooops, gotta run! I have been procrastinating stuff at work and now am paying a huge price for it. TTFN!

Geffric, we are checking in on the 13th. We are planning on going to EPCOT that day.

castlegazer, yes! I have been to WCC & WE LOVED IT!!! And you shall, too. If mad4mickey comes by, you'll have to ask her the name of her waiter..wait, I remember now, it's Jethro. Tell him Mishell from Texas says hi. He knew exactly who we were talking about when we did. I think it made him a little scared of us, though.

All-day K is going just fine. He started last Wednesday & he seems to like it. I'm cool with it, too. I drove my SIL crazy that first day, which was, I think, the longest day of my life. But now I'm getting used to it. I think it's good for Lainie & I. We actually have some good one on one time. I miss him like crazy, but I think it's good for all of us.

What's everyone doing for Labor Day???


Labor Day has always been my favorite holiday (well, you know behind Christmas). I really love it. Its usually great weather, and my family always camped together that weekend at a church retreat - sounds dorky, but it was tons of fun seeing friends and camping out and having bon fires. Now I have to choose every year - go to the Jazz festival, go to this chruch retreat, or go to Maine. We have chosen Maine this year and will be extending our weekend and taking some vacation time and seeing freinds up in Maine.

I am psyched!

QOTD, Labor Day? I dunno what we're doing. I have to work Sat & Sun, but I'm off on Labor Day. It's one of the few days in the entire year that DH & I both have the day off, so I guess the bestest thing is that we can both sleep in...well, until the kids get up. Maybe lleberkniT or my momma will have a cookout. That'd be good.

Re: WCC, DH really liked it a lot, too. That's one of the places I think he wants to take his dad in November. Are you staying at the WL? I'd like to stay there sometime, it really is beautiful.

WCC - have had a lot of fun there! We went for Eric's 10th b'day.. and is was so much fun..Our sever collected all of the girls in the restuarant to sing happy b'day to him. I have always had a great meal there. I usually stick with the fish... The biys ususally get the all you can eat platter and say it is wonderful


QOTD...Labor Day - Eric has a football game on the Saturday, Sunday Evening I am going to a BBQ with some of my friends to celebate my b'day and one of my girlfriend's , whose b'day is 1 month after mine. - We are going to have salad, Lobster, shrimp and crabcakes with a mango salsa, etc. on the grill and wine paired with each course.. ( These are my friends that I used to camp with and we did an gourmet meal over the campfire. Each of us had a course and planned and shopped and cooked it over the open fire...) We have not done the camping weekend in a long time,as we all had kids, so we do the meal on the barbie at some ones house.. no kids or spouses allowed..

Oh yes Labor Day.. we will work around the house, BBQ and invite my Dad etc.. then go to the scout meeting that night

P.S. Sleeping in would be super AWESOME too! Not gonna happen in my house, though.

DHB, OF is renting me some points to stay at the VWL a night before our cruise - its a measly 14 points to stay in the villas for one night. How could I not do it. I just am grateful he is willing to part with 14 points. Its tough to get someone to part with that few.
