MR BACK's Back!

So a few things that i learned from our trip..

1. Never take the Honda Civic on a road trip, especially over mountains.. ( had bad car problems)

2. DH and Eric really do eat nothing but burgers and they love McD's, for breakfast, lunch and dinner..( which is why I am taking Geoff to WDW for the food and wine festival, eating at Boma, Artist Point and O'Hanas) note to self.. never go on a trip with just the two of them...

3. With Geoff, Washington DC would be a 2 week trip and we would not get to finish all of it, with Eric it is a 2 hour tour.. LOL

4. The 6 Flags in DC is not worth the trip.. over 1/2 the rides were not working and the rest were in massive disrepair.

5. I-95 really is a crowded mess...

;)

 You poor thing, so sorry about your car :( 6 Flags and McDonalds, yuck :p I lived in DC for a short while after college and one thing that has never changed is just what you said.....I-95 is a crowded mess! :smooth:

But I know it was all worth it to see Geoff! :teeth: He must've been SOOOOO happy to see you and I know how relieved you must've been to see that he was fine and enjoying himself. I was worried for ya...didn't know what the situation was gonna be like....so glad he is alright and enjoying himself! ::yes::

Hi cadburysmom :wave2: how was the wedding?? The entrance behind Geoff is the gateway for the troop.. each troop has one.. The Detroit troops have abig pizza , Cinci has the bengals, etc,.. the north west chicago surburbs have the Blues bros .. yeah it is hard to believe that he is 14.. Jordon will be there soon..

Wait a sec...did you just say Geoff was only 14? :confused3 I could've sworn he was older than that...he really looks older....how old is Eric? They must be closer in age than I thought :scratchin

:wave2: Geffric---We usually use 301 (The major highway that runs by Fort AP Hill) to avoid a lot of the I-95 mess. You had gone to Kings Dominion for the amusement park (its near Fort AP) for about the same money---cool coasters and used to be clean.

Cadburysmom---NC Beast has told me about the previous Stones concerts in Baltimore. :rockband: :drinking:

Good morning everybody!

Geffric, so glad you are back home safe and sound! Will the boys go through McDonald's withdrawal symptoms or are you weening them back s-l-o-w-l-y? Thanks for showing the pictures, I love them! The Washington monument at night? I bet it's pretty....

Now I knew if I started that representative smilie thingy everyone would feel left out, so here's some more:

OK - so everyone else, I'll hit you when you least expect it, bwahhhahhaa.

kadaten: Catrina Grace. SOO cool that your full name is Katrina. Turthfully, I screwed up in the name thing. I was trying for some celtic spellings like Catroinah, etc. and in the end went with the simple spelling - well, at least that's what i thought I did - but I had been concentrating so much on the Celtic names that I forgot that the way the name is actually spelled is with a K. So, without meaning to, I still screwed with her for the rest of her life. I am full German and my husband is pretty direct Irish so the name has meaning and history in both cultures so I felt it was a perfect name for her. Plus she's really really blond so it seemed to fit inthe hospital.

She just has some minor issues, nothing big, like a stiff neck from the way she was positioned in the womb leading to a lfattening of her head, a nasal passage blockage that has been recitified, a stiff bone area in one of her fingers, and some ohter things which have lead her doctors to test her genetically - developmentally she is all in the clear - she exceeds all developmental milestones. Now they are looking for things we can't see like hidden genetic disorders that may cause some issues into the future. its really no big deal. We simply have a lot of doctors and specialists that she smiles with and has tons of fun being given so much attention.

TOTALLY the way so do a wedding - much better!!!

Lewski - walking pneumonia STINKS to say the least! I actually decided to have no more kids after we had to strap my son down on the table at the hospital to have his chest X-Rayed when he was a baby. It was gorrific - he also ended up having pneumonia. I ended up violating that rule and having Catrina, but this is IT for me. I can't handle the heart ache when they get sick.

OK - now a little about what I have been up to. :Pinkbounc I took Friday off - kept my kids in day care and cleaned my house. This may sound like no big deal to you all - but it was a huge deal for me and makes me feel three thousand times better about everything. I am so happy right now. I also decided that whie I was at it, I would pack the car. We headed up Friday night to the beach and had an amazing weekend up in Maine. It was gorgeous weather. I had lobster benedict for breakfast, went to the beach with both kids who both had a blast, even fed Catrina on the beach (nursed) in a cabana with a towel draped over which was a great thing so I didn't have to walk her back up to the house to do it! My hubby and I slipped away during naps to see the decorator's show house up there which was amazing and beautiful. We then got to also go out to dinner alone and have Lobsters in the Rough - you order them from a outdoor cool bar and eat at picnic tables. Its our little hidden gem secret while we are up there. Its a local hangout. We came back early on Sunday - good thing cause we still got caught in traffic - and my son and DH went to a baseball game while Catrina and I stayed home and had spa day - we took baths, napped, I massaged her, and we played together. It was awesome!

GREAT WEEKEND! I feel so much less stressed -so much better about everything!!!

Castlegazer What a wonderful weekend...I'm hungry for lobster now! :goodvibes

Geffric I can totally relate to your McDonald's ordeal but please tell me you still like their fries :confused3 McDonald's has the best fries ever, hands down ::yes::...Wendy's and Burger King don't even come close in my book :snooty: :p

PS...is Eric doing Mach III next summer? Just signed Jordan up for Mach II...

llebrekniT :wave2: Nice of you to pop in and yes, I wish Oddball would stop by more often too! :teeth:

Ok, all this food talk is making me hungry...later, gators!

I think we all need a little of this now:

I am partial to Burger King fries since they turned them into nuclear time bombs for your heart - i.e. coated them for extra krispy crunchiness when fried. BUT, I eat McD's because, well, while they make your tushy fat too, I get the heebie jeebies thinking about what those Burger Kings ones will do to you.

Time to get busy, busy, busy. :wave2:

haha!!:teeth: im not TOO busy YET. in two weeks though ill be insanely stressed as i get into the swing of school. i DREAD going back because its gonna be SO hard to find my way around our new buildings, and also only TWO of our old teachers stayed. the rest{people i really liked like mrs williams and coach brasher} all moved to other schools!! im so upset about them leaving. anyways though, well only know TWO of our HS teachers. its crazy that they all left....mrs w changed schools because of what happened with coach barclay, coach brasher left to be assistant principal at another, coach mackey left to go back and coach college level basketball, mrs benjamin retired, mrs peters moved to georgia with her new husband, coach barclay left in january because of everything that happened then....well, we MAY have two more that we kinda know. mrs/dr lagen from last year and mr/coach{dr too but that's just for laughs, an inside thing for our class only:rotfl:} brown.{theyre still relatively new, they just came last year.} were not sure if theyre staying though. the mean teachers that i HATE are staying though....ms chaplin{the stupid evil witch, i HATE her SO MUCH for what she did to coach barclay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!} and mrs guy who is mean and hates me for the heck of it. how stupid. so its probably gonna be a sucky year with the new teachers and new buildings...im gonna be SO confused. this year is gonna be so hard too.

now that ive bored you with that, lol....

my fellow wildgirl{i got in trouble yet again for talking about that} misses talking to you too and wanted me to say HEY!!:teeth:

ill talk to you soon hopefully!!:teeth:

Hey Ashton, I think it will be OK. Its Ok not to know many of the teachers. I packed up in 10th grade and moved to a new school away from home where I knew no one except my best friend. Within a month of being there my best friend and I were at each other's throats (thank God they had a policy of not letting incoming friends live together in the dorms) and we had tons of new friends each and we made new and lasting relationships with our teachers. (we also became friends again too and stay in touch to this day). Its a really great experience believe it or not to be completely out of you realm of experience thus far. I think you will be just fine and even most popular.

That experience has served me well throughout my life - more so than books. Its time to spread your wings - if I may be so trite. This really is an exciting time. I know it sucks right now.

hey, anything new with guys this summer - any lake news? I loved spending summers on our lake. Good guy hunting grounds.

Hey everyone...

Oddball, It'll be great, you wil get new teachers and you wil probably love them all. They may even realize what a Witch that other teacher is, and get rid of her for you...

Naaah....you didn't screw her up! If I don't spell if for people, MOST of them spell it with a "C"!!! So you done good ::yes::
LOVE the Grace, too! That's my Abbie's middle name :)

OH....and your trip sounded just DIVINE! Very relaxing and fun, to boot! ::yes::
