Holy cannolli you all were chatty while I was away!
OK - like
llebrekniT, I need to remember what I was going to respond to.
OK - here goes a try - first off this
was purely reprsentative of
llebrekniT - not her kids, not anyone elses kids - JUST HERSELF!!!
Now I knew if I started that representative smilie thingy everyone would feel left out, so here's some more:
c-mom:
geffric (so glad you're back safe and sound, have a computer, had fun in DC and in VA - I-95 is to be avoided at all cost!):
OK - so everyone else, I'll hit you when you least expect it, bwahhhahhaa.
kadaten: Catrina Grace. SOO cool that your full name is Katrina. Turthfully, I screwed up in the name thing. I was trying for some celtic spellings like Catroinah, etc. and in the end went with the simple spelling - well, at least that's what i thought I did - but I had been concentrating so much on the Celtic names that I forgot that the way the name is actually spelled is with a K. So, without meaning to, I still screwed with her for the rest of her life. I am full German and my husband is pretty direct Irish so the name has meaning and history in both cultures so I felt it was a perfect name for her. Plus she's really really blond so it seemed to fit inthe hospital.
She just has some minor issues, nothing big, like a stiff neck from the way she was positioned in the womb leading to a lfattening of her head, a nasal passage blockage that has been recitified, a stiff bone area in one of her fingers, and some ohter things which have lead her doctors to test her genetically - developmentally she is all in the clear - she exceeds all developmental milestones. Now they are looking for things we can't see like hidden genetic disorders that may cause some issues into the future. its really no big deal. We simply have a lot of doctors and specialists that she smiles with and has tons of fun being given so much attention.

Oh and long story short, I didn't go...BUT am flying to Baltimore(DING fare) for the day this Tues and having lunch with bride and groom then...works well for me AND get to see several other friends at the same time...stones, ya know

TOTALLY the way so do a wedding - much better!!!
Lewski - walking pneumonia STINKS to say the least! I actually decided to have no more kids after we had to strap my son down on the table at the hospital to have his chest X-Rayed when he was a baby. It was gorrific - he also ended up having pneumonia. I ended up violating that rule and having Catrina, but this is IT for me. I can't handle the heart ache when they get sick.
OK - now a little about what I have been up to.

I took Friday off - kept my kids in day care and cleaned my house. This may sound like no big deal to you all - but it was a huge deal for me and makes me feel three thousand times better about everything. I am so happy right now. I also decided that whie I was at it, I would pack the car. We headed up Friday night to the beach and had an amazing weekend up in Maine. It was gorgeous weather. I had lobster benedict for breakfast, went to the beach with both kids who both had a blast, even fed Catrina on the beach (nursed) in a cabana with a towel draped over which was a great thing so I didn't have to walk her back up to the house to do it! My hubby and I slipped away during naps to see the decorator's show house up there which was amazing and beautiful. We then got to also go out to dinner alone and have Lobsters in the Rough - you order them from a outdoor cool bar and eat at picnic tables. Its our little hidden gem secret while we are up there. Its a local hangout. We came back early on Sunday - good thing cause we still got caught in traffic - and my son and DH went to a baseball game while Catrina and I stayed home and had spa day - we took baths, napped, I massaged her, and we played together. It was awesome!
GREAT WEEKEND! I feel so much less stressed -so much better about everything!!!
