We stayed home and had some champagne---its been awhile for us to be in the same place for NYE---usually he is scheduled to work 3rd shift. We watched ABC for awhile and watched some of the Twilight Zone Marathon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Came back to work in 10 inches of snow this morning - yippeeeee!

Hi cadsmom! Hi CMom! I missed you guys!

CMom (and kadaten too), over the holidays I saw my best friend from my whole entire life - we just now live so far apart and lives have gotten so hectic that we don't see each other that much anymore - and I wanted to tell you guys that he is now the Congressional Liason for the Army so he (oh, forgot to say that he is a Captain in the Army) takes congressmen and senators wherever they want to go - he was in Giza Egypt when his wife was taken to the hospital to have their baby - flew back on Air Force two for that one. He has been going to Iraq frequently and has hit 20 countries since taking the job six months ago. It sounds like a great job.

My thoughts are with you as your DH deploys.

Morning... the first week of work for the new year.. LOL.. Boys got off to school and I worked out this am at the Y and now onto working.. I am working from home today and may work from home all week since all of the managers are at a offsite meeting. So why go in the office, I get more done at home..:scratchin but I'll see..

The wedding in Cleveland was very nice and luckily the weather held so the driving was good..

I have been looking at cruise stuff... We have never done a Western, Any tips on excursions for the western? I was on the Disney site nd put a few of the excursions on my wish list..

But first I need to gear up for the MOM/ Son part 2 trip in Febraury ( with Eric).. I am thinking of a Universal power Pass for us. Then we can go again during the year.. Will we get tired of Univeral for 3 days?

Talk to ya later.. need to get some work done..
Glad you enjoyed the wedding and so cool you get to work from home this week...definitely more relaxing than the office I'm sure :) And about the Western route, never done it on DCL but enjoyed it with other lines. Especially enjoyed stingray city in Grand Cayman where you stand waist deep on a sandbar and feed stingrays who swim around, sometimes bumping into you...kinda scary but really, really neat just the same. Some people get a little freaked out but I bet your boys will love it! ::yes::

Never been to Universal Florida but if it's anything like out in Ca,you'll have a blast....oops, are we allowed to talk about the "other" theme park on the DIS? :bitelip: :p

:goodvibes Thank goodness you're doing a Mom/Son Part 2 so we get another chance to meet...hopefully all will be in good health and NOTHING will go wrong this time

...just wish you two could join us for the week :( And not sure yet where Jordan and I are staying pre-cruise...probably an airport hotel as we arrive so late....guess I'll let Priceline decide for me ;)

Well, look at what else we have in common - I too was an International Relations major at Emory - strategy and defense with a focus on Western European intelligence. I minored in History and French.

Yeah, and now I work in corporate real estate - go figure! I blame Tom Clancy for my major.

I hosted a UN day while in college and it was AWESOME - he is going to have a blast. I loved meeting the people from the UN - the behind the scenes people fascinate me.

Cheeringmom Please check in! :( You can't just drop a bomb like that on us and not let us know how you're doing! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers

slo HI back at cha! Oh, and I forgot to thank you for sharing your "Price for A Child" thread on the Community Board...I loved it....very sweet and reminds us how truly "priceless" our little ones are....thanks again :goodvibes

Morning guys. I nominated ibounce as news editor on the other thread now I see CADSMOM stepping up to the plate here. We could have two ediotrs/reporters. I never go anywhere else but these two threads. Sometimes I skim others but not too often. So I don't get the news unless reported to me. Good job guys!! and congrats to RICK

BELLE that was a great game!!!!!!! Best one of the year IMO.

Sending Sam back to school tomorrow. I will be a basket case. Its going to be a blue January around here.

All is set for my first procedure on Monday. Just want to get it over with!

Thanks for the well wished. Will keep you posted!

OMG! ....and I thought I was the only gal on these boards who actually cared how many miles from shore are considered American territory ;) Seriously, I'm VERY impressed and jealous of anyone who speaks a second language well...that was definitely a biggie in holding me back...heck, I can barely communicate in my native tongue :p
