MR BACK's Back!

Oh I had that machine and returned it. Tye has a fish face and I still have the tubing and albuterol. I'd need to go rent the machine again. He's doing better breathing, but all he has done today is lay around lifeless. He's only eaten part of a pop tart, a bite of a cookie, a drink of chicken broth and a tiny bite of toast. Pathetic. I'll be home with him tomorrow. He's watched POOH ALL DAY and DH has had it with the Pooh poo.:sad1:
Poor little Tye....he's been sick WAY too long ...no fun at all :sad2: ...hopefully having his sweet mom home for the day will do the trick ::yes::

We lost power for like 3+ hours---it took about 2 hours to get the house back to 83/84 degrees.

Um, what, pray tell, type of camp is the boy going to? Ouch! A smackdown with flour-filled socks! Sounds painful. ::yes:: Whatever happened to pillow fights? Boys! :rolleyes2
oops, missed this from a couple of pages back....must respond because this camp is AWESOME! ::yes:: and as you well know, boys LOVE to romp around and battle each other....this is definitely the camp for it... :goodvibes It's in the NC mountains, very rustic and the scenery is absolutely beautiful!

And seeing how I'm kinda bored right now, I'll tell ya all about it.... :rolleyes1

Jordan is there for two-weeks and each night they post random digital pics on a special website so you can check to make sure your child is still breathing, in one piece, has actually changed clothes, etc...:p

Well, the first night(Sun), first year campers are "initiated" into one of two tribes. They are led into the big Tepee where the "Great Spirits" of the camp decide which tribe to put you in...very Harry Potter/Sorting Hat-like, except the camp has been doing this for over 40 yrs! Once the Great Spirits decide on a tribe, the colors of that tribe are painted on your face and you are cheered and covered by more paint by your fellow tribemates.
The 2nd night is "sock wars"(as Tinkbackwards was referring to) and the third night(yesterday) was the GREAT SHAVING CREAM battle  where tribes compete with shaving cream to see who gets first dibs on going down the giant "slip and slide" which is a really long piece of canvas on a huge hill...the pics are great as the boys are completely covered with shaving cream.....too much fun. :Pinkbounc

Today was backwards day where the kids ate dinner in the morning, wore their clothes backwards, had breakfast in the evening and will make their beds and clean cabins before going to bed :upsidedow ....too funny! I have no idea what'll happen tomorrow but I can't wait to find out :magnify:

I've seen pics of Jordan on the camp website everyday except today...but...each day, one of the counselors does a write-up on the day's big events and apparently, a few boys won their Archery Pin today...one of them being none other than my own Jordan :teeth:...a regular Robin Hood...I'm so proud ::yes::

Oops, I know, TMI...

OMG ....you poor thing....how awful for you...how hot did it actually get inside and was any food spoiled because of it?

I think it was maybe 86/88 during the shortage---no food spoilage because I kept the freezer shut and only open the fridge once. I used a disney brochure to fan the dog and NC Beast when it was a bit too stuffy. Jessie stared at the ceiling fan for a long time and was begging me to get it to work. I didn't sweat or glisten the whole time so it was bearable (I didn't have a/c as a kid so I tolerate it better than my guy).

Are you referring to Tye? :guilty: OMG, I hope not. But it sounds like you are! I can't imagine how sick and worried YOU must be.

Maybe the fever is getting ready to break now. I hope that's what it is.

And tell your DH that I said pooh on him! ;)

and Jordan's camp sounds so much fun. Wish I were young again. aaaaaaaa

Geffric, I just read about the boys who suffered from heat stroke at Geoff's camp. Have you heard from him? Wow, what a trip for these kids. I also read the camp will probably not be held at the military base next year.

It is supposed to cool down here this weekend. In the low 90's yeah right!

Lew, how is Tye this am? Poor baby. It is the stupid heat that are getting these kids sick. They have to stay in all day and not get any fresh air. I hope once he is well you can celebrate your anniversary!

Off to work I go. Be good

She probably won't be able to respond given her PC issues. I am very worried and told my DH who sits on the board of the boy scouts that this is very very bad. Its damn hot, though, but probably cooled down now.

Cheeringmom Silly girl, Rick's wand is legendary! ;)

Oh, and I think the boy scout jamboree takes place every 4 yrs. They were originally invited by a president back in the 40's or 50's and were funded by the govt but recently the govt pulled the funding, not because of the recent tradgedies, but because of basic budget cuts :(

Geffric I know you probably won't be able to read this, but have a safe trip to VA....I know Geoff will be SO happy to see you!!!

Lewski :( Sending PD out to you and Tye...what a nasty bug and I hope it goes away soon!!! :wizard:

NC Belle Glad you didn't have any food spoilage and also glad you were there to fan your sweet furbaby...I'm talking about Jessie, not da Beast, silly! :p :teeth:

Ok, I understand why Oddball gets the Yankee one. And she's welcome to it too.

But why does Cadburysmom get the fun drinking one and I get the rotten kid one? Huh? Explain that, please. :confused3

I've got one for Castlegazer -

That's exactly how I feel today. Senior management are all AWOL - my boss is golfing and its a gorgeous day outside. I am having a big problem concentrating, but the auditors are helping me with that little problem - oh here is one now... Gotta go.
