I was thinking of getting dh one for either father's day or his birthday. Any recommendations? I know NOTHING about them.

I have a Compaq computer, and the Ipaq is the only one that seems to be compatible. It expands to 128 MB.

I bought it on Ebay, still sealed for $75. Not that I recommend spending that much money on Ebay, but I couldn't resist the bargain.

I have a Rio Riot 20GB. I love, love, love, love it. It is much pricer than the smaller models ($250-300) but it can hold every CD I own all at once (up to 4,000 songs). This way I have all of my music with me when I go to work, etc. and I don't have to constantly be picking out which music to download. :)

I have a Sony Mini Disc player. It works like an MP3 player, except you download your song to mini discs. One mini disc will hold about 20 songs. So really, your storage capacity is only limited to the number of mini discs you're willing to buy.

Personally I love it. Sound quality is great, its small, and you can make min discs to your liking, kinda like cassettes or CD's.

iPod :)

Is there any good ones under $100. Should I try ebay? I would like to get one, but have been debating on getting one for my DD and I...just do not know much about them.

Last week I got the 15 gig ipod and I love it! I can fit every song we have on it and it's pretty small compared to some other players I've seen.

Hi,

The Apple Ipod is supposed the #lrated MP3 player. My son received one for xmas and loves it. Never out of his pocket.

Apple just came out with their new models a couple weeks ago.

herc.

The Ipod is the one but they go as high as $499. I think the cheaper one is about $100 less. Happy hunting.

I also have a Sony minidisc player, but mine will hold MP3's also. I have about 4 hours of MP3 music on each disc, and in 6 months have only used 1 AA battery and I play it 7-10 hours a week. We also got an adapter for our truck and use it there when we are out on the weekends. I believe it was around $125 and I highly recommend it.
