mozzman and family survive orlando

hi ya thursday we went to universal studio's and the older kids loved it and so did we fievels playland and curious george are the best playparks in the areai got drowned in curious george by them big buckets the wife dared me to stand under it so i did,my phone was wet my wallet, soggy dollars everywhere:cool1: the mummy ride is my favorite for the trip superb,we had dinner at some irish gaff can't remember its name, that was quite nice.i could not make out where the crowds were then we were told new york and other american airports were snowed in:woohoo: :rolleyes1 sorry but it was a good break for us,hhmm ahh to hell with it:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: we never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride but that was with rip-off pass oooops express pass i mean.everything was now going smooth.i shopped in walmart just for a couple of things and looked in the british section,i picked up a jar of branston pickle and a voice said(hey you eat oriental food) ORIENTAL :rotfl2: this bloke sort of looked a bit hillbillie so i explained that is a chinese delicasse of pickled sliced rat and we eat it all the time,(HELL YOU FOLKS EAT RAT)of course does'nt everyone;) since when has the british flag been seen as oriental:confused3 i left him looking at our section puzzled.we ate out at TGI FRIDAYS it was very nice especially the NEW oreo cream pie the girls thought it was well buff and it got the best desert award.well that was thursday and things are running smoothly coming into the weekend.i hope it lasts.see ya

its friday and were off to ak,older girls are not looking forward to this one they are afraid of animals, they were attacked by a dog twice in two years at my ex mother in-laws and they are still wary.so its get on the safari its a cooler day and they should be out, sure enough we saw loads of animals close up well worth the early one, expedition everest was good they needed that big ride here i think to satisfy the thrill ride people and it is good.little-uns enjoyed pocahontas show we saw it twice.now its dinner time and we are trying our luck in the rainforest cafe with no adrs its lightly raining and i thought we would have no chance but i found if your a big table like ours 7 you get in quite quickly.i had the pot roast it was ok not great but ok.daughter 1 had some kind of barbeque wrap which she enjoyed.my son 3 years old had the childrens cheese burger and chips when it came it was 3 burgers of the burger king whopper size and a shed load of chips :confused3 who's kid is going to eat that much billy bunters.i can see why america has a weight problem if food portions are so big people get used to eating them and they become the norm to everyone,i think its hard to say no when its slung in front of you everyday.needless to say me and the eldest girls got paranoid at our eating for the week and upped our daily night run to 4 miles instead of the (we are on vacation 2 miles)talking of food the chidrens choices is very limited tell me what you think on this, there seems to be about 5 or six choices but they are the same in every restaurant mac and cheese, burger, chicken strips etc:confused3 that could do with some disney imagination.enjoyed the rest of the park lion king is very good, not sure why you dig bones up in small stones rather than sand:confused3 all the kids were moaning they were in their crocs and trainers, your not supposed to take your shoes off in there but mine did and i was ready for anyone who asked me to put them back on.my wife enjoyed ak the best of all the parks,i think its because she's part primate ;) i always tell i think she may have been human in another life:goodvibes gotback to the villa did the run and got in the pool which for some reason was hotter than a hot bath:confused3 heating must have been screwed but after running 4 miles it was'nt the most refreshing end to the day,oh well its shopping saturday AGAIN! FESTIVAL BAY how lovely :rolleyes1 bye 4 now

Totally agree regarding the children's meals, my 2 DD's get fed up by about day 5 with chicken strips and fries!!, they long for a baked potato or mash with some veggies!. Loving your trip report though :)

I read these the other day but forgot to post...

I don't know what shocks me more, the fact you have FIVE :scared1: kids or that you didnt take a camera with you to WDW :scared1:

hi ya the 5 kids are a rough estimate from my wilder days;) i only have to look at my wife of that period and she's pregnant,i have often thought of bottling the fruits of my loins and selling it on ebay, the camera thing iv'e lost a couple in drunken excursions abroad,i actually dived in the med with one round my neck which did not agree with it so i am not bothered now.well its seaworld today kids are looking forward to seeing shamu show theres quite a queue to get in and its probably the most crowded park so far but luckily no ones on kraken and the older kids ride it 3 times quickly we see the dolphin show which is very good well worth the trip, right whens shamu show on darlin i say(i can't see one she says)don't be a plank its the biggest show here gimme that timetable.WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT WHERES THE PIGGIN WHALE SHOW!.so i decided to ask a seaworld bloke what was going on,OH THERE WON'T BE A SHAMU SHOW SHE'S JUST HAD A BABY WHALE:confused3 ssshhh my missus had twins and she went back to work within a couple of days;) he did not look impressed:rotfl2: it was a shame for the kids they were looking forward to it but you can't have everything.we saw most other things, watching the polar bear swim was good although he seemed rather hemed in,the enclosure is quite small.the older girls carried on their hoovering clothes from surf shops the little one were quite tired today so we left about 5 oclock thats about it for today, i better go back downstairs we have company but they are boring the pecs off me so i thought i would escape for 5 minutes and write this but with one finger typing its been a bit longer:banana: see ya later

Hi i am gonna go quickly go through our last 5 days i am finding it hard to get on the computer lately with the wife and kids and work etc,so we visited epcot on monday i enjoyed test track and innoventions,i think it was turtle talk with crush superb for kids very clever, nemo very good.the showcase was right up my alley i had a pint in every country, they left me there talking to a canadian bloke and i had to get a taxi back to the villa i was pretty blasted as i tried to go round again but did not make it.typhoon lagoon was good enjoyed that the wave is brilliant fun thats more my thing i could have gone again the next day.disney quest was a laugh we spent 4 hours in there,i was king of the basketball and the missus kicked buttocks at the bowling game.another day spent shopping and the very best park of all voted by all the kids aged 3 to 19 islands of adventure,a real surprise the little uns loved it the boy was going on the unicorn time and time again i got ruddy dizzy going on 5 times in about 15 minutes, they loved soaking people on the bluto rapids ride from the boat play thing shouting take that you lousy sea swabs,i dont know who they got that from:rolleyes1 .right i am going to sum up with the inevitable airport over weight suitcase clothes swapping saga.the day of the flight back we packed and i had to go to walmart because one of the twins broke her case through sheer capacity.and it took much swapping of clothes at the check-in with people in line tuting and puffing to only get about i think 3 or 4 overweight cases to my expence of over a $100.to my kids credit they payed their own way, probably in fear i suspect not of me but the wife:hmghost: right did i like it YES would i go back probably not till the youngest were 14 and able to ride everything but i never go anywhere twice so thats quite good, food was not good in general but my wife is a top chef so maybe i am spoilt.the overiding thing about this trip is how organised disney are in particular we never waited for any transport thats unbelievable with the amount of people, the best meal we had on disney property was hollywood and vine very nice, off site outback steakhouse.ratings in most popular park for our group go's 1ST I.O.A 2ND EPCOT 3RD AK 4TH TYPHOON L 5TH UNIVERSAL S 6TH MK 7TH MGM then the rest.BEER was a bit limited as i am a bitter drinker but i survived on lager JUST.last of all thank you all for your help on my trip,it certainly would not have been so successful if i had not come on here,my family would have missed alot so many thanks.of course your all barking disney mad but thats a good thing PROBABLY.;) off to plan my japan trip now so toodaloo i might chip in sometimes with the odd answer for some unsuspecting disser but until then keep up the good work.:wave2:

Totally agree with your ratings, IOA is simply the most up to date park in the area (sorry WDW guys). Did you visit Seaworld? one of our greatest sports is trying to obtain 4 if not 5 or 6 sample beers from the hospitality area - you must remember not to wear a loud shirt and not to look into their eyes !!!!!

Great reports - loved every minute of them!

Lol:rotfl2: Makes me remember my effort at trying to get my hubby his 3rd pint of free Guiness, he got 1st, mum got him 2nd, i attempted to get him third but at nearly 27 years of age (and 3 kids later), they wouldnt serve me, and i had no id on me, had to get my mum to come over, how embarassing......:confused3 :rotfl:

Japan next trip? Well, all right then, you have some more Disney to look forward to--Tokyo Disney Sea, reported to be the most beautiful theme park in the world http://www.jtcent.com/disneysea and Tokyo Disneyland. http://www.tokyodisneyresort.com.jp/index_e.html
I appreciate your taking the time to produce your trip report and imagine your one-finger typing skills have sharpened considerably after writing so many words. Glad everyone in the family found things to remember as favorites and am smiling at the thought that you, contrary to your stated usual m.o. of one visit and move on, are considering returning.

Thanks for the fun read.

Loved these reports! I loved IOA, except when they wouldn't give me 2 bottles of beer unless I could point out the other adult who would drink it. I was tempted to say I needed 2 of the watery stuff just to taste something, but I don't think they really do random humour, so I pointed him out in the burger and fries queue and explained why I was getting beers unchaperoned except for two under-12 boys:rolleyes1

Great reports, thanks for sharing them with us. Japan sounds fantastic, happy planning, and have a great time.
