Moving Resorts question

We will be flying in a day early and staying at All Star Sports before moving to Coronado Springs for our stay. I know the resorts will move our luggage, but what about water bottles, beer, etc. I am planning to do a grocery order and I don't know which resort to have it delivered to?

WDW will move your refrigerated items as well as your luggage. They will keep them refrigerated during the move and until they are brought to your room at resort #2.

Good to know. In that case, I may have it shipped to resort #1. Does anyone know if you have to be in your room for Garden Grocer deliveries? Our plane doesn't land until 5:00 on Sunday night, so I don't know if we will be there or not.

We always travel with a cooler and when we change hotels they put whatever we needed in a refrigerator. We never had a problem with this either. I haven't ordered from Garden Grocer but anytime we had anything delivered they held it at the front desk. I can't imagine that they will deliver anything to your room before you check in - what if for some reason you don't make it but they will hold it for you. Enjoy!

If you don't land until 5pm, you will probably be getting to the resort around 7. I would live without the groceries the first night and just have them delivered to Coronado the next day for your stay. It's not worth taking a chance on them misplacing the order and tracking it if you're moving the next day anyway. Plus, All Stars will move the groceries, but you'll have the drag them to bell services from your room (or have bell service come get them). Just not worth it, in my opinion.

I too would just have it sent to the second resort. Less hassle.

I agree with the others who suggest having the groceries sent to your second resort. I haven't ordered from Garden Grocer, but ordered Amazon Prime Now on our last trip. We also got in early evening and I got a text from Amazon that they delivered our items. When I went to the lobby to retrieve everything, I was told nothing was there. Amazon insisted they delivered (but offered to refund me anyway, which was very nice), so I went to bell services again the next day and lo and behold, it was there. They claimed my name wasn't on it, but when looking at the bag, my name and resort reservation number were on the packaging. Long story short, even with the best laid plans, there are glitches. I wouldn't want to be dealing with tracking down groceries while also switching resorts.
