I know I have read that Disney will move your luggage for you if you switch resorts during your stay???

Is this still true, and who do you have to let know you will need this feature?

Thanks!

I did this on my last trip and it worked out very well. :D :D You don't really need to inform anyone when you book your stay. You make arrangements with bell services or at the value resorts the luggage people. I mentioned it on check in and the morning I was leaving, I filled out a form. You need to make sure your name is on each piece of luggage. They pick it up and then move it to your new hotel around 3 pm that afternoon.

I just made sure I had the stuff I needed for the day and that was all. :D

We switched from the POR to Poly resort on our last trip. We called guest services the night before and gave them a pickup time. They came at the appointed time and picked up our luggage and we proceded to the parks. When we arrived for checkin at 15:00 at the Poly our luggage was already there. They got it for us and took us and the luggage to our room. It was easy. I did tip each person who handled the luggage a dollar a bag. Hope this helps..smjj

We moved last summer from a cash night at Coronado to a vacation club stay at Beach Club. The young man at Coronado took the luggage and before he left we filled out a tag for each piece of luggage. I tipped him around $1 per bag.

When we checked into Beach Club Villas it was very busy -- opening day! Once or twice they told us our luggage was "on the way up" but then no one could seem to find it! I was nervous as I had convinced dh that no one would lose our luggage and that HE did not need to lug it into the villas like we were the Beverly Hillbillies! It did arrive just fine, but do plan on packing one small bag with your bathing suit or whatever, just in case of a "delay." My kids were waiting to swim so the hour seemed like forever!

Yes, we have done this. Just arrange it when you want to switch. Give them the bags in the morning and they will have it to the other resort by the afternoon. **NOTE** keep what you might want for the day - you may not get your bags as soon as you would like - they should be in by late afternoon.
