I’m a new DVC member and our next trip will be in 2026 - nothing booked yet. My DD22 really wants to stay in The Poly Tower, but I have a feeling we may not get to do that for our entire trip, due to us not being able to book until 7 months out - our home resort is SSR.

My gut feeling is telling me we may go in August, which I’m not thrilled about, but my DD’s school schedule dictates when we can go (she’s in a doctorate program with very little breaks). If I’m able to get some days in the tower and the remainder days at SSR, how does that work? Have any of you done this? If yes, is it pretty easy? Did you feel comfortable with your items being transported without you with them? My DD22 would have her laptop with her to do some school things while we are there. I really want to make the tower night possible for her - she deserves it, she works so hard.

Thanks for walking me through this 🙂

This is a split stay and Disney is an expert assisting with move to another resort. We, a family of 9, moved from Boardwalk to the Wilderness Lodge. Make sure all your luggage and other things are packed and bell services will move all your luggage to the new resort. When you arrive at your FIRST resort, check with the front desk on time and any special needs.

BTW, it's painless and one of the special perks that Disney does well.
