Moving bags

I know that this has been asked before but for those of you who switch rooms within the same resort, how do you do it? We are arriving late and checking into a studio at VWL. The next day, we are moving to a 1br villa. We need to buy passes, and food for the 1BR. I want/hope to get a good room if we do the switch early in the morning. Should I just go to the desk, check out of the studio and what do we do with the luggage? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do just as you are suggesting.

Go to the front desk first and see if the 1BR is available. If so, Bell Services (or you) can move your bags. If not, leave your bags with Bell Services and they will store them for you until you return and your room is ready.

They will issue you new room keys for the 1BR.

Just a word of warning in regards to having bags moved! We checked in late at Port Orleans(for one night, as here was nothing available at OKW) and then moved the following morning to a 1BR and a 2BR at OKW........our bags were promptly moved from PO to OKW, but when we returned after lunch(around 3pm) for a break, etc., our rooms were all ready, but our bags were still sitting out on the sidewalk! They had been there for over 6 hours! Ours were not the only ones...there were many, many others there as well.............to make it short, we basically picked up our own bags and moved them........it would have been better to just keep them in our car all day! Anyway, it may have been a fluke-y experience, but i am not sure i would try it again!
