Movies on the Ship

Will they be showing the latest movies on the ship? My daughter wants to go see them but I figured that we would wait till the trip. New movies out we we go will be:

Brother Bear
Cat in the Hat
Haunted Mansion

I would say that you would be able to see Brother Bear and Haunted Mansion.

Brother Bear debuted while we were on board - that will definitely still be playing. And judging by the other movies they were playing - Freaky Friday, etc. - you will have no problem seeing brother bear and haunted mansion.

Not sure about Cat in the Hat...but...

me thinks no....wrong studio...

There are a wide variety of movies playing on board every day. But, they are all Disney related - either Disney studio or affiliates only.

Better yet....

You can call up to a week before you sail and find out which movies are showing during your cruise. Call 1-888-325-2500, choose the "reservations" option, then ask what movies will be showing.

if they ever do have Cat in the Hat, it'll be about 6-9 mos after it's been in the theaters, since it isn't a Disney movie

Just did the 11/16-11/20 Wonder, we had Freaky Friday, Under the Tuscan Sun, PoTC, Finding Nemo, Brother Beat, and a few more.....

We were on the 7 days cruise and our last day Nov 1 was when Brother Bear was coming out. Well Sat day you leave the ship early(8:30) and they are not allowed to show it "before" it comes out in the theatre, so the showed it 12:01 Satuday morning. I think we were the first people beside sneak preview that got to see this.

This is one area where DCL really shines! No other cruise line can offer first-run movies on their ships like Disney!

Guess it pays to own the studios (Touchstone, Mirmax/Dimension, Hollywood, Walt Disney Pictures), distribution company (Buena Vista Distribution), and flicks!
