Does it seem to anyone else that there are way too many previews and/or commercials before movies these days????? I swear we sat through 20 minutes of them.

Today was Bruce Almighty, 2 weeks ago was Daddy Daycare and they both had a bizillion of them. Are all movies like that now?

For the past year, which is when I started going to more movies, I think every one I have seen has had at least 20 minutes of previews, with a few Coke commercials thrown in. I don't mind the previews....they're actually one of my favorite things about going to the movies.

I don't mind them, BUT I wish they would make sure they are age appropriate when you are attending a "G" rated moved.
A couple of times I had to distract or hide DD's eyes during. She got so upset one time that we almost had to leave prior to the movie!

bf and I are ok with trailers, gives us ideas for movie dates:) (that's how we found one movie)

DH and I love the trailers, we always make sure that we get there in time to see them. The commercials I could definitely do without though. I saw enough of Brittany Spears and Pepsi last year to last a lifetime!

I don't mind the trailors, except, it's a little odd that they start showing them like a month early. Here, i see all the previews for CHARLIES ANGELS, and it doesn't come out until the end of June.

The trailers are ok but the commercials I can't stand - except for the ones about the Marines. Those are very cool - my ds says 'hey, I want to do that!' Good thing he's only 11...

Saw Bruce Almighty today, too. I liked it but I wish they didn't have to use the fword. My dh almost had a coronary (had the kids with us) !

I always show up 10 minutes after the posted start time for this very reason.

I would like them if they started at least 10 minutes before the official move start time. Last night I saw finding Nemo, at "7:30". The movie didn't start until 7:45. Oh well, at least there was a cute Pixar short.

I say less commercials, more trailers.

Unfortunately today, *with Regal theatres in particular*, they have this new program called the 2wenty. Which is basically 20 minutes worth of commercials and trailers. Those 20 minutes are figured into the run times of the movies. So if you want to avoid the commercials, just show up 10 minutes after the scheduled start time of the movie.

I dont really care for it either. That and they took away our lobby trailers to put all kinds of junk on there. Hardly anything about movies.

I like trailers and knowing what's coming out soon, but enough is enough. I don't need to see 20 of them. I did enjoy the "Women Love NASCAR" commercial on the bigscreen though. :teeth:

DBF and I went to one movie with almost 15 minutes of ads and trailers(ads:no thanks but yes to trailers since we found Bulletproof Monk and 2 of our upcoming dates with them)
