Movie Reward Ooopsies

My daughter convinced me to buy a bunch of movies so she could get the VMK code. However the VMK code does not work. We called the number and the help desk people state they are working with VMK to resolve the issue but it's not been an entire month.

Why can't they just provide us a NEW code that will work so my daughter can get the entertainment center????

Are they waiting until the codes just run out of expiration?

The help desk people are friendly however, I cannot seem to get anything other than VMK is working on it. :mad:
 
Which code are you using the one in the movie box? That's meant to be enetered into the movie rewards site.

If it is definetely the VMK code which you get from the movie rewards site, then I can't help you.
 
All the movie codes worked successfully on the movie rewards site.

We even kept and printed out the VMK reward code we got when submitting the 500 credits.

The code just does not work.

When inputting the code in VMK it states it's a code that is not recognized.

It's a TOTAL bummer, I have to call every freaking week to get them to resolve this issue.

The call this week will be one requesting our 500 credits be given back so we can try again for a NEW code because it's getting to be ridiculous.
 

After calling the 5th week in a row. I requested that they reimburse my daughter her 500 credits. Perhaps we can get a VMK code that will work on the second try.
 
I had the same problem with my theater code. It took me approx. one month to get it straightened out. I had used the "contact us" button for vmk several times. The first time I did not get any response at all. The second time I got a response that said I never entered the code... so I tried to re-enter the code and of course I got the message that the code was not a working code.

So I tried the "contact us" a third time and was told that they checked and the items were in my inventory. By that time my patience was running out so my fourth "contact us" was not as nice... I told them that I wanted them to show me where the items were at in my inventory. I also said that I was not going to give up as I had to pay money to buy videos in order to get the code and that I could no longer return the videos since I had to open them.

I also used the "contact us" at disneymoviesrewards.com after my fourth attempt with vmk. I received a message from them wanting to know my member name at vmk and that they would look into it. I never heard back from them again.

I also called the number to vmk operations that I found in a thread here. I missed the call and the message said that they would call again...but they did not.

Then one day when I logged into vmk I was checking my inventory for something and I was shocked to find a home theater there! I checked my e-mail to see what had happened. There was a message from vmk that they checked into my request and agreed that I was missing a theater set and it was being added to my inventory.

So all I can advise you is to not give up...just keeping sending messages to the black hole and maybe someone will finally help you. Good luck!
 
After 5 weeks and 5 days, they gave us back our 500 credits.

My daughter got a code that actually DID work!

YAY. She's happy and I think she traded for other stuff ALREADY.

That's what she does though on VMK trade, trade and more trading.
 
Me and my sister both have a trading pin card code that says the same thing when entered, can somebody give us the phone number to wherever you have been calling. She tried using the contact us link on the vmk site, but we get silly replies from shorty asking for information that she already gave them.Maybe a phone call will light a fire under somebodies hind end.
 
I have done the vmk rewards twice and have had no problems...so don't everyone think it never works. Not discounting the OP's problems or anything.
 
I am beginning to think the contact us part of vmk is run by a dimwit. I have a pirate prison room code that will not work. I have contacted vmk at this point 5 times. I keep getting the run around and the same idiot emails, "tell us the code you entered, tell us where and how you obtained the code, tell us what you were supposed to get from the code."

Now here is the basic email I sent minus the actuall code.

My friend went to Disney and got me some of the pirate pins and code cards. I am having trouble with one code. It is the one for the pirate prison room. the code is: ---------- All my other codes entered without a problem. When I enter this code it say "the code you just typed doesn't match any of our secret codes-please check it and try again"
I have tried numerous times and I even changed B to 8 and 8 to B and still nothing. I have scanned a pic of the card if you need to see it, just tell me how to send it to you.
please help me get my room.


Now how much of that do you all not understand because vmk apparently doesn't understand a word of it.

I could have told you that. Still waiting for them to answer my many emails about the codes we got at WDW that didn't work, in ***December 2005***
 
We are having the exact same problem-redeemed the 500 points for the VMK code and the code they sent us to enter into vmk is one letter/number too many. Called the number and although nice they said the codes are issued by an outside promotion company and there was nothing they could do but they would contact the outside promotion company and I would hear back in a week or two!! Not very Disney like is it-and it's the weekend and of course no customer service (if you can call it that) on the weekend. The only reason I got him the movies to get the Home Theater was to try to make up for all the stuff he had taken (all the pirate stuff from the complete 10 piece pirate set right on down to the bird hat) Frustrating to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
