Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere Pro

I want to make our first family vacation video. During our trip last week I took many photos and video clips with my galaxy s4 and wanted to know what are some good programs to make a dvd?

I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Windows Movie Maker. I have never used either one. I have experience with other adobe products like illustrator and Photoshop.

any tips for this newbie is greatly appreciated.

If you've used Photoshop and Illustrator using Premiere isn't all that different. There are a few new tools to deal with but to me using the software feels similar.

Whether you use Premiere or Movie Maker really depends on the amount of control you want. Premiere lets you edit in detail. Movie Maker lets you smash clips together.
