Yep! we still give him crap about it too... he knows for NEXT TIME he won't be running from ride to ride and just relax and enjoy everything around you.

The pictures of the kiddos in 2010 and then 2014 on the bench and in front of Dinosaur are too cute! They were so teeny! Time flies too fast; my LO is four months old now and I can't believe how fast she's grown. Something tells me that doesn't stop.

You can never go wrong with Soarin, and the Land is a great place to cool off for a bit. Mark and I like Circle of Life movie; we don't do it every time. I just wish they'd turn the volume down a tad in there.

soarin is a favorite. always will be, kinda excited to see the new updated movie they do.

That's too bad about Meg forgetting her MagicBand. Back when they had the key cards it seemed like at least one person forgot their card on every trip - sometimes multiple times. I wonder if the use of MB's has reduced the likelihood of forgetting your ticket.

I am sure it has. It was a learning experience for us.. I will always keep an extra one with us at all times. we had two each last trip since we had two reservations. they all link together anyways...

I never noticed that one of the World Showcase buildings has a green roof. I'll have to look for it next trip.

oh yeah. It's authentic to norway in how they keep housing cool and i think it's a big deal with the new "go green"?!?! I am positive someone here will know the true story!

Akershaus looks like a great place to see princesses but I've never been impressed with their menu.

we did NOT like their lunch/Dinner. Breakfast is great. especially the BACON!

I have a soft spot in my heart for Snow White ever since my granddaughter, who was 3 at the time, had the most awesome meet and greet with the nicest SW ever.

That was a good decade for Chicago sports. The White Sox and Cubs both made the playoffs. And then Michael Jordan came along. I really miss those years of great Chicago sports.

Me too! My husband said something the other day which made a ton of sense. any coach who had a mustache has take the teams to championships.. we need more Mustaches!!!

we were being punished.. it was crap. exactly she is a kid i am positive this isn't the first time someone forgot their bands in the AM either.
Lesson learned. I will keep extra's in my backpack/bags from now on!

Akershus looks interesting, I haven't made it there yet. The really sucked though that they took so long to seat you even though tables were empty. Maybe they were short on servers that day? The bacon video cracked me up.

I really enjoyed all the fishy pictures, especially the ones of the turtles. I could stare at those tanks all day.

Your pretzel picture at AK made me really want a pretzel! I love those jalepeno pretzels. I would probably eat one every day if I could.
Dang! That stinks that Meg forgot her magic band and then it took so long to get into Akurshus. I have had two really great experiences there. Hard when you have a not so good one.
I love the picture of the kids with the frame. I keep seeing those kinds of PP pics on reports but I never saw any of them with frames when we were there.

I am right there with you! the tanks are amazing. always something to see or watch. I wish we could have seen what was going on with the dolphins. but the non-american's were in there and were NOT allowing any one to see... NEXT TIME!

Still enjoying the world. i know we were bebopping in and around the shops didn't buy anything just perused! Enjoying all we can take in!

Finally we came to japan!!! I really wanted Meghan to do this!!! This is one surprise she knew about and she was so excited too!!! If you haven't done this i suggest either you watch it OR do it yourself! I HIGHLY recommend! I did research on HOW to pick an oyster. The only information that came across was find the UGLIEST one you can.

Pick A Pearl is soooo fun. But I have to be super picky here and tell you that you got your Japanese numbers backwards. It's Sun (3), Knee (2), Itchy (1). Yes I've done Pick A Pearl too many times.

Holy crap, 8 mm!! That's huge, maybe one of the biggest that day. The pearls are usually around 6 - 7 mm no wonder it didn't fit into the Carriage necklace. I had the same problem and my Pearl was only (I think, it's been a while) 6 3/4 mm.

Oh and I've tried the "pick the ugliest" but have yet to get anything other than an average sized white pearl so I'm not sure how well that works.

I love the old and new phone booth pics. Did you get PP in there? We got a whole slew of PP with the phone booths. Those are coming soon in my TR!

Meg looks so sad in her poncho. I hope it didn't rain all day. The 12th was the day we arrived at WDW and it didn't rain in the late afternoon/early evening, so I hope most of your weather was decent!

I am so glad Meg enjoyed the pick a pearl so much! The experience is amazing!!! I surprised my daughter with it (she's 15) on our trip this last December. I think all the ladies their are just so energetic and exciting. When we were there, there was a change in the person who was doing it and I got all sad at first because the 1st lady was just so enthusiastic and I thought... there is no way the next one is going to be as great, but OMG she was! We had to wait about 30 minutes for my daughters turn and the whole time she kept going back and forth from each side of the tank to decide what urchin she wanted. We couldn't get the carriage there either because of the size of the pearl. I did however find a seller on EB that actually carries 2 cages... aosdesigns, 1 is for an up to 6 mm pearl and the other is for an up to 10 mm pearl and it was only $8 for silver plated. I got that and then just went to Wally World and got a sterling silver chain for $18 for her and we were good to go. She loves it.

Yes. the almost 3 feet tall stitch? Yes Matt has it. Just wait until i post the packing up and driving home pictures!!! the boys saved all their money to do the ridemakerz. Once we got to DTD and found out it no longer exists they were able to get whatever they wanted. Matt b-lined it straight to the gianormous stitch! Zack? Legos...

Isn't it the best! Thanks for the heads up! Now that we had it mounted i don't think it will fit int he carriage correctly? I refuse to shop at our Wally world. It's disguising dirty, Never has full shelves, workers standing around not doing a thing, etc. I will go over to target and see what they have!

Nope never did a lot in Epcot. in 2010 people told us how we should skip a lot of what was there, it was boring, etc. this time around i did my own research and hit everything up. We will make our own minds if we like something or not! we loved a LOT of epcot!

So dang funny!!!! This was just so neat i had to do it too.. I don't have many pictures as i was the one playing this time! First i had to pick the oyster. So i searched and searched for the UGLIEST one i can find... Which is no easy feat! They are ALL ugly. The first i picked i changed my mind. Then i picked one and she pulled up one of the rocks! ARRRRRRRRRE YOUUUUUUUUUU SURRRRRRAAAAA? Yeah. I want the rock!
I moved over to tank #2 she pulled up another rock! Umm Nope. THAT ONE
OK. we did the whole SUNNNNNNNNN KNEEEEEEEEE ITCHYYYYYYYYY!
She looked sad and said you want the rock instead? She looked forlorn. Ugh oh. Is there a pearl?!?!
after playing with my mind a few more and the facial expressions are priceless.. She popped this out:


A BLUE PEARL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the blue one!!!! She said it was rare and i got it!!!! another round of crowds hoopin and yollarin! drums were banging:




I don't remember how big it was. It still wouldn't fit in the Cindy carriage yet it would fit into another carriage:



I figured one of the kids will want it when they get bigger! we had to wait a while for Meg's pearl to be mounted, so we walked around,






FINALLY it was time to pick up Meghan's pearl and i was in need of a DSA. Off we went.

Love the pictures of the kids in the phone booth! So cute!

You guys really lucked out with great PPs this trip. All the family pictures came out so cute.

I LOVE doing pick a pearl! I have two from previous trips, both in March and they are dated just one day and one year apart! I had seen a setting with three pearls so I might do it again this next trip and put them all on. Meg's pearl is HUGE! So exciting for her!!

I am so jealous that you got a blue pearl! Beautiful setting too. I ended up trying four times before I got a pearl small enough for the carriage necklace!

Someday I would love to get twins so I can have earrings made!

I have heard/read in the past how the animals in Disney are no longer afraid of Humans. I mean we came across that same thing with the Duck and squirrel earlier in MK.
Nothing prepared us for this one. We were taking a small break. Just enjoying the sites and sounds again.

I have never seen Matt jump as high as he did once this little guy came up!!! It was SO wild! first thing i thought of was this IS Epcot right? Not AK?!?

we spend a lot of time with poor ol Stevie until the people behind us started to feed him. We were left to the dust!


It was hysterical!!! I can't believe how curious he was and how he approached everyone who came around. A CM did come by and told us about him.. I guess he has been 'harassing' guests for a while. Some people like it and some not so much. we enjoyed him as he wasn't a nuisance just a curious little creature who was looking for food, or new toys. This was one moment we still talk about!!

We have lots of squirrels around our house we do feed them along with the many birds. I do from time to time have one who will become a bit more friendly then the others of his tribe come up a little too close pointing at his mouth like HEY I'M HUNGRY HUMAN.
