Move From Incredipass to Sorcerer In Cycle?

I could not find this addressed anywhere else in the forum...but I purchased / activated an Incredipass in July 2023 - it renews in July 2024. If I were to buy DVC Direct and qualify for the Sorcerer pass tomorrow, would Disney allow me to alter the pass to Sorcerer for the remainder of the year? Anyone ever tried or had any luck doing this?

Resale owner here considering buying Riv Direct taking advantage of a Dec use year where they'll give me 2022 points and buy back w/ magical beginnings - makes it a pretty decent deal.

No, you'd have to let the current pass expire. Not sure if they'll give you the Sorcerer Pass renewal rate; I think they should.

Why would you want to replace the remainder of the Incredipass with a Sorcerer before the expiration anyway?

You can’t downgrade an AP during its validity period. If you qualify for a Sorcerer pass at renewal time, you can renew as a Sorcerer.

Do you get the renewal price on the Sorcerer pass when you renew from incredipass to sorcerer and also vice versa would you get the renewal price on incredipass when going from sorcerer to incredipass?

Yes. When you renew, you can pick any AP you qualify for and get the renewal price for that pass.
