Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

While speaking to my CM she also said they had just gotten the memo that length of stay tickets were required in order to get this promotion. I was on the Disney web site, while I was talking to her and told her the website was letting me book it with a one day park ticket. She told me it would bounce back when I entered my credit card and it would not be honored, as the web site was wrong. She then proceeded to read directly from the memo stating length of stay tickets are required. We'll see! Right now I have eight nights at POP Century May 9th-17th with a one day base ticket for $674.31. If an AP discount comes out later that beats it, I can always cancel.:cool1:

Website let me book with a 1 day base and did not bounce back. This may be an error and the website might be updated later, but for now it let me book it that way. I'm pretty sure they'll honor it since it's already confirmed.

The CM answering the phone asked me where I had heard about the Disney special and I told her the DISBOARDs.
Thanks to everyone I just saved $2,500. on two rooms at Board Walk Inn  My hubby thanks you too!:)

Can't get my husband to agree to go:(

I'm glad most of you got what you were hoping for!

how are the crowds at this time, prior to easter? weather? when is value season for spring/winter?

I dont know when the value seasons are, they change a bit every year it seems. They do list them at waltdisneyworld.com though. I usually go after spring breaks are all done, late April and early May and the crowds are medium, the room rates tend to drop a bit then. The weather at this time is perfect. Sometimes it gets chilly in February, and I dont like the other value times in september because its so humid. Early spring is my favorite time because its quite warm and with very little humidity.

I am overwhelmed by the number of posts and trying to quickly assess how this might affect our trip. I hope someone won't mind that I haven't read all of the posts and help me get up to speed! We are going for 6 nights. Can I still get 2 nights free, or does it have to be 7 nights? Alternatively, what might NWA charge me per ticket to move one of my tickets by a day?

You have to go for the full 7 nights to get the deal it seems. NWA might charge you nothing, or they might charge you a bunch. Its outlined when you buy your ticket and is dependant on the ticket you bought. They sell a bunch of different types for every flight.

You CAN get 2 nights free.

According to Mousesavers.com you can stay for four nights and get 2 nights free. I don't know about Northwest but I am guessing there is something along the lines of a $50-75 change fee plus the difference in what the new fare costs.

I booked with the regular dining plan and the CM told me we'd get the FREE refillable mugs, so no, I don't think you have to have deluxe dining to get them.
wow, hope this is right (but I think your CM might have been confused, because according to the Disney Dining 2009 brochure, the refillable mug comes with the quick service or the deluxe plans but not the regular dining plan. Hope your CM is right, cuz we'd get the mugs too if it's true.

I guess it wouldn't be the first time a CM was mistaken; they have a lot of details to cover.
As long as I still get the $200 gift card, and with my $500 savings, I'm still pretty psyched!

Just got WL Courtyard View 5/24-5/30 for $1692.18 with the one day base ticket since we are passholders. Originally priced 5/24-5/29 and that total was $1692.06. The CM was not sure what the difference was but for the additional 12 cents I booked the extra night!! I think I got a good deal, am I right?

I am also trying to get GF for 3/29-4/4 for our anniv but no luck the first call, so calling back now.

I "booked" 7 nights but told the CM I was only staying 6. At $50 a ticket for NWA to change, that extra day wasn't worth it. I did have to add a night of dining plan, but that's fine because we do a lot of 2 TS meals. Even with all of that we save several hundred. I was able to use Magical Express on our return day a day prior to our "official" check out date.

We were planning on going for two weeks. Because of the promo we had to break our trip into two ressies. We did not save as much as I had hoped. The extra cost was due to the tickets. So, we only ended up saving $250. We are not too upset about the tickets because we are upgrading to AP's anyway. The really cool thing is we get $400 in gift cards. It did take 2 hours on the phone though!!!

My TA was arguing with me that their email did not include deluxe or Easter dates, but I went online and booked it myself and it went through. I printed out the confirmation so I hope that is enough!

This whole thing was a bit stressful but I did save a lot of $.

I am getting so impatient waiting for my TA!

Is it possible for me to make a reservation myself, even if my TA is also working on it? What if we end up with two reservations - same name, dates, etc.? If I get the reservation first will my TA still be able to make one later? I know that I can't transfer my reservation with Walt Disney Travel Co. to my TA.
