Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

waiting..again..i need free dining too! i dont mean to be greedy but this trip was already all we had, and now even though we are saving with the nights, we still have to pay for dining.

Also, does this deal include hoppers?? or just base??

When you call in the CMs are requiring length of stay park hoppers, but booking online you only need to purchase a minimum of 1 day ticket per person

While speaking to my CM she also said they had just gotten the memo that length of stay tickets were required in order to get this promotion. I was on the Disney web site, while I was talking to her and told her the website was letting me book it with a one day park ticket. She told me it would bounce back when I entered my credit card and it would not be honored, as the web site was wrong. She then proceeded to read directly from the memo stating length of stay tickets are required. We'll see! Right now I have eight nights at POP Century May 9th-17th with a one day base ticket for $674.31. If an AP discount comes out later that beats it, I can always cancel.:cool1:

I booked with the regular dining plan and the CM told me we'd get the FREE refillable mugs, so no, I don't think you have to have deluxe dining to get them.

wow, hope this is right (but I think your CM might have been confused, because according to the Disney Dining 2009 brochure, the refillable mug comes with the quick service or the deluxe plans but not the regular dining plan. Hope your CM is right, cuz we'd get the mugs too if it's true.

Ugh - that's miserable. I'm so sorry!

FTR, I'm actually paying MORE for my package (we have a conference rate of $238/ night at AKL STANDARD = $1670, room only) but we're now GUARANTEED savannah view ($2325 w/ one day base tix that DH can use since I'm AP).

Difference is we're paying $600 more but getting one-day tickets and a $200 gift card, so basically $400 more to make sure we get savannah view.

(DH had a standard rate last year and we got upgraded to a bunkbed savannah room; DD would be crushed if we didn't have a savannah room again!! Worth it! :thumbsup2 )

just base. If my numbers are right it would be another $108.xx to add hopper for 2 for the week.

I think I booked the right thing -- never booked a package before so I have to sit down and do more math.

But I booked it during the black-out dates in April, but I called CRO twice and they said everything is there... so maybe the black-out dates aren't correct?:confused3

I am so happy for you!! Our trip was bumped up from 2010 to 2009 courtesy of my DH! How lucky are we to have such great guys??! (We went for our joint 40th last year!)

I really wanted to book a 'bonus' trip for 2009 for my 40th in June...(we already have Sept 09 @ the Contemporary booked w/ free dining).
Without the free dining for this deal, being the budget type of person, I just didn't see it as a GREAT deal for adding another 2009 trip. So I decided not to book it. :sad2:
However, when I came home I found DH BOOKING MY BIRTHDAY TRIP!
So we are in for 7 nights at ASMovies. I am so excited! I have been crying for the past hour. So in the end...Mommy gets to ride Splash Mountain and see Mickey on her 40th. :cake: ::MickeyMo Now where to eat on my birthday.

mmmeasr--I booked mine during the blackout dates too-- TA said it wouldn't work, but I had done it online too- so she tried it and we are switched and saving $$$. I think you are just fine. 'Cuz if you're not, neither am I!!

Happy day for me! Going June 20 - June 28. All Star Music standard rooms (2 hopefully connecting) for 8 nights. 7 day - 3 adult 1 jr park hopper tickets. Total $2412.

You have an awesome DH!!! I hope you have a wonderful time!

I regret not going to WDW for my 40th birthday this year. That's why I decided to book a trip for my birthday next year.

Someone wrote they got pop for around 890, for a week? How did you do that? The best i can find is 1,196 for 7 nights at pop on-line.

Usually a lurker, but thought I'd share!

My original CM told me I had to buy 5 day tix (plus we would get the three days to make 8 day tix) since we were staying for 7 nights. I booked it, but don't need tix. I went online to price out with 1 day tix (based on the mousesaver info that you need to only buy one!) - and it worked. The offer details don't say anything about having to purchase entire stay length tix. Asked the CM chat if I could do it to my existing ressie - she said yes and to call back to get it modified. I called back and a VERY helpful CM :goodvibes changed my package to a 1 day tix no problem.

I got 7 nights at POP, MYW + dining, and 1 day tix for 2 adults and 1 child for $1237.82 (includes taxes).....and the $200 gift card!!!! In total (including the 200 gift card) I saved over $380 over my exact same reservation!!!!!!!!

Now I need to find me a glass of wine and unwind after the last 24 hours of waiting!!!!Good Luck to all!

I booked online--- 7n WL woods view for $1557. two of us and I got the 1 day pass-- it let me, credit card went through and I have an email confirmation.
Now, my question is, the one day pass- will I get one or 2 of them?
We have APs so I may extend the trip if there is a decent rate past June 27 but for now I am all set-- PS I figured out the discount- at least 40%
No dining.
So excited!! Jill

doesnt do us any good since we definately want the DDXDP and that cost at "retail" would definately not be better than our 09 FD bounceback offer........our discount would be $40 per person per day, 3 adults staying in a suite @ ASMu, but it probably is good for others going during this time at the expensive deluxe resorts...........

easter and the deal....
i called and CM says it is blacked out time - I did find it on the website...
when I told the CM that she sounded kind of surprised...

they cannot get it to come up...but she says if I have a conf # it is OK

I made her pull up the code rate and it is in the system...

I am glad to hear someone else say this... I thought maybe I was going crazy and just can't do math but it seems like Free dining is a better deal for 2-3 (or more) adults staying at a Value resort, even when you add in the $200 giftcard this promotion has. I'm sure this deal is great for a lot of people, but I just cant bring myself to jump up and down for joy!

Did you use code IUZ? I have an existing ressie for Easter but the hotel now says sold out so I hope I can use it.

I just got the pop mar 6-14 and a 7 day park hopper ticket for 993. With the $200 gift card for food and a $75 card for the shops with the birthday promotion, I think that I got a good deal. I was debating about the dining plan and now I will use the 200 gift card for food and not get the dinning plan.

Ugghh... my poor TA has been on hold for 2hr 15m so far! We've been coming up with alternatives in case the Pop is full. So far we have Movies and CBR as alternatives; anyone like these? I have had my heart set on Pop, it is hard to think of staying somewhere else!

Room discounts for values arent that big a deal because the rooms are so cheap so you don't save much. This is a better deal than free dining by quite a bit if you're at a deluxe. Also, free dining doesn't save all the money it seems to considering the dining plan is for convenience, and not for saving money and if you just didnt get the dining plan you'd be able to spend a lot less than it costs anyways.

So, it is a better deal for value if you don't get the dining plan and the total vacation cost could be less with this deal than with free dining at any level hotel. If you want the dining plan and not the most cost effective vacation free dining is better for value, about the same for moderate and a big savings for deluxe hotels.

I went with mod, and no dining plan. Regardless, this is a nicer time to go than the standard free dining times which are during super hot and humid times, with the exception of the one they tacked on this year. I'd take this over free dining and go during one of the time the weather is absolutely perfect in central florida.

I think if you add in the 200 dollar promo though, value resorts are within a couple dollars during free dining as it is now with dining, I think its about 6 or so bucks cheaper actually with this deal depending on the time and sometimes 30 bucks cheaper.

I had time to pound through all the math while sitting on hold for 35 minutes ;).
