mousekeeping question

This may be a strange question, but after reading some of the experiences people have had on here with mousekeeping, is it possible to request that mousekeeping not clean our room while we are there? I would like to just request extra towels when we check in and not have them come at all. We are only there 5 nights, we pick up after ourselves and I don't feel daily cleaning will be needed. It will give me peace of mind knowing nobody will be in our room while we are gone. Can this be done?

I've only had good experiences with mousekeeping, so I'd say let them clean your room.

But if you are adamant, then just put the "Privacy Please" sign on your doorknob at all times. You could also pick up extra towels at the pool if you do run out.

I think they are required to go into the room after several days. Most people don't have any problems with housekeeping. As in any hotel it is a good idea to keep valuables out of sight.
