We are staying in the AKV for a week, I know they only come in once to clean. Can you request for them to come everday and what is the extra cost? We are staying in a Studio at AKV in Dec. I like the idea of having new towels and the bed made up when we get back from a long day.

Yes you can get it everyday. I am not sure of the cost, but it all depends on what you want done. There is a different cost for everything.

We didn't mind them not coming in everyday. In fact it was nice to know that no one was coming in while we were gone. It was nice to only have to tip them once instead of everyay.

I think it is $25 per day not including tip. you pay the front desk when you check in.

for $25 per day I can definitely made my own bed. and with the water shortage going on in the South - appreciate that Disney is trying to stop excess washing of stuff.

doing a search, i came across this thread with the following information:

Additional Full Cleaning Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $30.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $45.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $60.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $75.00 per day requested

Additional Trash & Towel Rates:
Studio/Inn Room - $15.00 per day requested
One-Bedroom - $20.00 per day requested
Two-Bedroom - $25.00 per day requested
Three-Bedroom - $35.00 per day requested

Thanks for the info. It is kind of pricey. I think I can make my own bed!

Believe me, we thought we would miss daily Mousekeeping too. But if you are like us, you will not miss wondering when they will be in the room. Will it be when I want to take a nap? Or maybe when I would like to change into my swimsuit for a quick swim. Or maybe I would just like to kick back with a drink on the balcony after a long day in the parks and come to find Mousekeeping still in my room at 5:00 pm. We've even considered having trash and towel canceled while we are there. But in a studio you don't have the option of throwing the towels in the wash yourself.

What about "extra" towels? I use lots of towels! Don't you only get like 4 towels, 4 washclothes and 2 hand towels in a studio?

It is pricey, but you are asking someone to come in and do a full cleaning job. Frankly, and this is just us, we are uncomfortable the one day they do come in for the week. Having to guess when they will be there and trying to not be there at the same time... I wouldn't want to do that every day. We don't change our linens or towels at home everyday, and we are the only ones using them so we don't feel the need for changes daily or even while we are there for a week. As far as the trash, I just take it down to the dumpster along with the recycleables. We prefer knowing nobody might show up at some unknown time on a particular day. Don't have to worry about securing valuables either. Just live like we're at home.

That's what you get in a studio or one bedroom. Double that for a two bedroom and triple it for a Grand Villa. If you need more, you can either wash the ones you get in the washer and dryer, bring more from home or pay for an extra towel pack.
