The last few days I have been looking at it and for example right now it says:

Haunted Mansion
no fastpass available

Indiana Jones-
Closed
no fastpass available

IASW-
closed

What has your experience been with Mousewait? If it says no fastpass available are they all gone for the day?

Well, Haunted Mansion only has FP's during the holiday overlay, so that part is correct. I'm downloading the app right now, I've never used it before.

LOL I didn't know that! haha

Okay, so I downloaded the app (cool app!) and it's showing me the same stuff as you. It's updated by people at the parks like you and me, so it's only as accurate as their postings. Based on some of the other wait times, it doesn't look like it's so busy that FP's for Indy would be gone. It's either an error or the ride is broken down. No clue about IASW.

In general yes, that is the case. But in the case of the above examples they are kind of misleading. HM only uses FP when it set up for the Nightmare Before Christmas, so there are no FP during regular operation ever.

If Indiana Jones was closed, then the FP machines are shut down as well so there would not be any FP available since the machines are shut down while the ride is. When the ride opens back up, the Mousewait status would change if the FP machines opened as well.

Rides will open and close all day. If you check back in an hour it may say open. Hm only does go when op says. Go may go quick this week due to the holiday week.

I hope they don't go to fast this week. I'll be really bummed!!! I think we may even add a day now but it all depends on what these darn aps are telling me lol

Try m.disneyland.go.com or m.disneyworld.go.com

It is run by Disney and shows wait times as ride now, moderate or high and whether fastpasses are available. It is formatted for use on mobile phones. Lots of other good info such as park hours, show times, meet and greets etc.

Thanks!

I have Mouse Wait and I love it! I haven't had a chance to us it in the park yet, so I can't vouch for the accuary of the wait times, but what the PPs have said is true. Ie, HM on has FP during Christmas season, FP shuts down if the ride is down... You also want to make sure you look at what time the last "wait time post" was posted, it may say there's a 15 wait for BTMRR, but that could've been at 11:30 this morning and it's now 4:00. Just something to be careful of.

Sometimes a ride will say closed on a quiet day if no one checks in a time at all for that ride. At the end of every day all the rides say closed and if no one checks in it will just always say closed.

but if it is a busy day like today and mousewait says its closed... it is probably closed... just keep checkin to see if it reopens... on our last trip it was showin that Autopia was closed, but I didn't believe it so I treked the family all the way across the park from Critter Country and sure enough it was closed...

I like this better because it's information from Disney.

Other apps rely on users submitting data. If you are there report your favorite rides at 90 minutes and see if enough people use the app and it makes whatever line is really there dissapear because they got scared away.

yea right... On mousewait you get the users submitted minutes which is often more accurate than the times they have posted at the entrance! On Disney's website all you get is "see now", "moderate" or "high demand"... I don't know what scale they use to determine "moderate" or "high demand" but I'd rather see the minutes and determine wether the ride is worth the rate...

Do you honestly think that people time thier wait in line and submit the time to mousewait? People look at the wait times on the sign in front of the attraction and submit that whether they get on the ride or not. People aren't walking around the park with stop watches to use when the stands in ques.

It is exactly the as when the internet revolution let us compare gas prices on the internet before smart phones. Nobody was replying from every gas station in the country every day. But they could at best fill thier tank and look at the ampm across the street and the Exxon kitty corner to the Cheveron they were at. Then go home and report the price for unleaded at all three.

I just make a note of it and post the wait time after I'm done with the ride. The times on mousewait are very accurate. Much more accurate than "moderate"!

I use the wait timer and then tack on one minute and submit it when I am one or two people until my turn
