Mourning the loss of the Bounty and at least one of her crew

The Bounty was one of the last tall ships built in Nova Scotia and it's hard to be a "Bluenoser" and not feel her loss....prayers going out to the families of the captain and crew tonight.

And the Disney connection is that ship appeared in a couple of the Pirates movies.

I didn't realize it had been built in Nova Scotia. So sad what happened.

The lady that is confirmed dead was the great-great-great-great-great granddaughter of one of the original Bounty crew that mutinied in 1789.

My parents were sad to hear about this last night as well, they visited the ship this very week 28 years ago on their Honeymoon.

That would be the schooner Bluenose II, built in Lunenberg Nova Scotia.

Bluenose II was built by the same people who built the Bounty and in the same shipyard.
