I grew up on 60's Motown and still play it all the time. And now my DD15 is hooked too.
Please could someone describe what the Motown Cafe is like?
From the sound of it the food is OK but we would go for the music most of all.
Are the live acts good?
Would we have to leave just as it was all beginning to happen as DD is under 21? How does that work?

We have eaten there with the kids and thought the food was good. Motown music is playing all the time. We enjoyed the atmosphere. When you enter the restaurant, the seating area is in a circle with a balcony in the middle overlooking the arcade downstairs. There are photos and memorabilla of Motown artists all over the place. Do not sit behind the Jackson 5. You will see what I mean when you get there. You can't see anything back there and I've read posts by people complaining that the atmosphere just wasn't as good because you are hidden behind the giant Jackson 5 statues. I don't know what time they don't allow kids past. We ate at around 8:00.

If you buy the half price certificate (which is an awesome deal btw) be sure to check the expiration date if they have it on the website now. I bought these and ours expires May 31.

Atmosphere is awesome here!!!!! Food....okay. but we always go when at Universal. We really enjoy it there.
