Hey everyone! :wave2: I need some advice about motion sickness medication. I get very seasick on my boyfriend's parents' boat when we go out in very gentle seas in the Gulf. I am worried about my upcoming trip to WDW. I am not willing to sit out any rides so I want a medication that will work wonders. I have used Bonine and Dramamine and neither work very well for me. Has anyone been perscribed those patches or used those bracelets? I would love any information about those forms of medication for motion sickness. I have never gotten really sick on any rides, but I do not want it to start now and I would rather be safe than :crazy2:

I use a relief band when we go. They are fabulous. You can put them on if you think you're going to get nauseous. Or if something catches you by surprise and you get nauseous, it will work then too. Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

I use the Scopamine patch. It is a script from the doctor. It lasts for 72 hours, with no drowsiness. I usually get sick like you, but was able to tolerate all the rides, and 2000 miles of riding in a car. It is also waterproof.

Why take drugs you may not need? We travel and cruise a lot and we swear by Relief Bands (http://www.reliefband.com/main.html) . My wife and daughter used to get motion sick all the time, especially on simulator type rides (and cruises) until we found these.

Note that these AREN'T those little elastic bands (called sea bands) with balls that you get at Walmart (we didn't have much success with those). Relief Bands are electronic "wristwatch-looking" things that are the ONLY FDA approved device for motion sickess and nausea.

The advantages over drugs are:

1. No side effects
2. Only use it if you need it
3. You can use it AFTER you get symptoms
4. It works incredibly fast (within a few minutes)
5. You can dial up just as much relief as you need.

These things are fantastic and well worth the price.
