In the past we have always used seabands when we went to Disney World, but for some reason, I cant find them anywhere.
I've read about the patch behind the ear thing, but is it safe to use everyday all day?
What about for kids?
Any suggestions?

You need to check out cruise boards. Some people have reactions to the patches that are worse than seasickness (vision problems is one). They also have to be prescribed by your dr. Have you tried Ginger Tablets? What do you need seasickness meds for in WDW? A couple of rides have made me slightly dizzy and nauseous for a few minutes and I used to get motion sick as a kid, but I'm always fine within 1/2 hour. I dont' think the patch is something you want to try unless you're on the water for an extended amount of time, just using it for a few rides seems extreme. I'd try ginger first since it's a natural way to deal with it. Also, do you know for a fact that it's a real problem or are you just afraid it may be?

and many health food stores carry the 'sea bands', as well as another product that emits the pressure at the "point" to help alleviate the nausous feeling!!

In addition to ginger tablets, ginger snap cookies, crystalized ginger candies are also very effective. Growing up, my dad swore by lemons, as a kid he'd have to suck on a lemon in the car. :rotfl2: .. today we always travel with lemon drop candies!!

Bomine and dramamine are also very effective over the counter medicines.. but as bdpc points out, decide what your needs are, talk with a professional, and sit back and enjoy, dont bring on worries!! :flower:

Our Walmart carries the SeaBands. As for the patch, it is not recommended for use in children. I've used the patch without any side effects, but many people I've talked to on the cruise had to take off the patch.

Bonine and Dramamine can both cause drowsiness, especially if you drink alcohol.

We give DS dramamine on the plane and for extended car trips. It works well for him. This topic comes up frequently and I remember someone posting that the patch worked very well for motion sickness they had in the parks. I usually take dramamine or bonine. Take the lowest dose suggested to start with because they can make you sleepy. There are a couple more prescription medications that people hvae mentioned (phenergan is one) Good luck.
