My mom gets motion sickness pretty easily but she thinks she wants to experience TSM. I want her to at least stand in line with us to see the awesome queue area. Can she exit the line and wait for us to ride once we reach the actual ride?

I get motion sick very easy too. I cannot watch certain TV shows because of it. I cannot ride Sorin because of this, and there is no way I will ever do Mission Space. However TSM does NOT make me sick...go figure.

I am not sure if she can exit before the ride. I don't recall seeing an easy way to exit.

I get motion sickness easily on rides that spin, too, but TSM doesn't bother me at all. She may want to give it a try. The spinning part doesn't last very long.

I get motion sickness too, but not on TSM. I keep a peppermint in my mouth everytime I ride something.

DH (gets motion sick on Star Tours, Soarin', won't even look at a teacup), did awesome and in fact TSM is his favorite ride from our trip.

If you don't want to risk it I think if you talk to the CM they should be able to allow her to go through the queue and then simply cross through the ride vehicle (since it is locked and stationary during loading) and exit that way. Or there could be another emergency exit on the queue side of the attraction.

Tell DH to try the new Star Tours. The last one made me very ill, but the new one is great. I rode it two times in a row with no effects at all.

I get motion sickness very easily. TSM does bother me a little bit but you are moving around for such a short period of time that I can handle it. Even though I don't feel the best on the ride it's still one of my favorites! And as a PP said, I have seen someone go through the line and then walk through the ride vehicle and wait on the other side for the rest of her party.

My DH is really sensitive and can only ride it once. Just 3D gives him a headache, though.

I get motion sickness very easily, I take Bonine the day before we start traveling anywhere and take it every night while we travel and since I've started doing that I have not gotten hit with the motion sickness bug since....really pushing my luck with a cruise this fall and I hope things go along smoothly! :thumbsup2

I can't do spinning and jerky movements but I'm fine with TSM and the tea cups when I'm on my magic pills :rotfl2:

Thanks so much for all the feedback. I will let her read all the comments and decide for herself:)

Interestingly, I don't generally get motion sick very easily, but I did become extremely queasy on TSM when we rode it last March. Since I also found the ride to be extremely underwhelming and unimpressive, I have not ridden it again to see if it was a fluke.
