Hi all:
I have been reading the threads with great interest for some months. We are going to have 2 days at Universal next month - never been and SO excited!
I am a bit concerned about motion sickness on the Harry Potter ride. I have watched youtube videos and have become alarmed at the reports of people feeling queezy and worse ! on the ride and don't want that to be me. We are planning to go at rope drop on both mornings and I am nervous I'll spend the rest of my day feeling grinchy green.
Is it a concern for lots of folks - I am fine on Soarin but have to close my eyes at the omnimax and imax theatres if there's a lot of movement. I watched the youtube of the Simpsons ride and that looked nausea invoking.
Help!

I almost threw up in the ride! I also didn't take anything for motion sickness beforehand and I haven't been on it since(I really didn't think it was so great anyways). We will be there next week and I just picked up some Dramamine this morning at
) and I remember almost tossing my cookies when I went to see the Blair Witch Project many years ago. Too much camera shaking
He decided that the problem was being cause by some sinus medicine he started a few days before we left, so stopped taking it. We went back over to Universal three days later and again we both took a Meclizine, but again the ride threw him for a loop. He didn't throw up, but did feel nauseated most of the morning. I went back that afternoon, after he was feeling better, and rode it three more times through the single rider lane, while he rode Dueling Dragons. I couldn't believe he could handle Dueling Dragons without any problems, but FJ knocked him for a loop.
