Can you compare Expedition Everest to Mission Space as far as the motion sickness goes. I'm one of those who can't even look down in the car or I'll get deathly ill :confused3

Mission Space is much more a place to get motion sick than Expedition:Everest. First time I rode Mission Space, I was a little woozy after. I usually feel a bit off balance every time but not much. I didn't have that reaction on Expedition:Everest. I'm afraid of heights and even the climb up on Everest didn't faze me.

Hi,

I have ridden MS twice in the past and both times I felt "off" for the rest of the day. I rode EE during the AP preview and I rode it twice in the same day. The backwards part of the ride did get to me but if I had only ridden it that one time I would have been fine.

Right now as far as the big rides go I can ride ToT many times in a row with no issues. R'nRC just once per day. Splash many times in a row if the temp is right. BT many times in a row. Space we do not ride this any longer as it hurts my neck and back. MS I will not ride again. PEW I will not ride again. EE will be a once per day ride for me in the future.

I almost never get motion sickness but when I rode MS I thought I woud "test" it. I looked away from the screen for just a second then thought I would have to reach for the bag. wont do that again. :rolleyes1

EE is very mild on the motion sickness, but just to be on the safe side, you should ask for the front row (this is very easy to do - they've set up a special little queue just for this. Ask when you get to the loading platform.)

Hubby has motion sickness issues. When we rode in the middle of the train, it wasn't awful for him, but he also didn't want to ride again that same day. When we rode in the front row, he had absolutely no problem at all.

I rode in the 2nd car with DH.
Motion sickness - none at all - and I don't like the barnstormer!

On the other hand, it did feel like my head was being ripped off my neck with the WOOSH of going backwards...needless to say DH rode 2x more. I'm just observing from now on.

Mission Space is not a problem for me or my kids but my wife did it once and said she will never do it again. We ride Mission Space everytime we go to Epcot. I think if you look forward at the monitor during the ride and keep your head back you will be fine.

Exedition Everest is a really good attraction but I did have a bit of an issue with after the 5th ride in about a 1 1/2 hour span. The going backwards bit sort of got to me. Also, I felt that being in the middle of the train gave me the most queazyness (sp?) compared to the front or the back. A ride or two should be no problem but 5 times in a row might be a bit much. We won't miss this one during our upcoming trips.

Have fun!!!!

Once on Mission Space was enough for me, but I rode EE 8 times. I felt a little jelly-legged after that many times but never queasy. They are totally two different things! I did lose my stomach for a second in a good way when EE went backwards--kind of like the beginning of RR coaster. Fun ride! :thumbsup2

PEW I will not ride again.

:offtopic: but I have been trying to figure out, to no avail...what is PEW?

Wow - we got in the middle of Expedition:Everest and I was glad. I thought the ride was so great. So more forward is less intense? I wasn't even experiencing any ill effects from right in the middle. Very interesting.
