Coach, I am so sorry you got sick on this ride
Ok, here is my story. We were in the parks Sun-Wed., so 4 days. Sun and Mon. went over to WWOHP and looked around, Tues did early entry(didn't want to ride in the morning and feel sick all day),so still did not ride FJ, came back Tues night (hoping crowds had died down) but we had just had a big dinner at Bubba Gumps (just thinking of this outcome made me sick) but DD and her BF rode it (30 min wait), no problems except DD's BF said the spiders were too much for him

I was stalling everyday, I couldn't find the perfect time to give it a try.
Ok, my time was running out, now it was Wed evening (after dinner again,we ate early so we could try and ride) it was around 6:15. DS wanted me to ride first to see how it was (the wait was 45min) so I did single rider and was done in about 20min.
I took a Bonine at dinner. Kept my head pressed against the back of the seat, everything was going good, even kept looking when the simulator part started, then when it got a little wild, I would look at my hands, then back to the ride (when I could tell the simulator part was gone) I did this the entire ride, also taking deep breaths. I was tempted to close my eyes and did once, but it felt worse, so kept focussed on my hands.
I am glad I rode, this is an awesome ride if you can handle it. But, I really couldn't "enjoy" it, I know if I had looked at the screen the whole time (combined with all the jerking around of the ride) I would have gotten sick.
But I survived, no dizziness, no headache, no sickness. (but I did miss a lot of the ride, while staring at my hands

)I also, chewed a piece of ginger gum, when I got off the ride (don't know if that helped

) I probably won't ride again, and I didn't let DS ride (he even got dizzy on the Mummy) So, to those who have not rode it yet, give it a try, and good luck!
