Motion controlled A/C...how do you keep it on at night??

What resorts have this?
I can confirm that POP has this "hot nights" issue as well. Top floor is worse.. I don't want it "cold" in the room at night, I just want it cold enough to freeze most liquids. :thumbsup2

Just as my title says...how can we keep the motion controlled A/C on during the night when no one is moving around?? We are all "hot sleepers" in my family, and there have been many nights where we wake up hot and sweaty because the a/c shut off.

Any suggestions??

Buy a balloon and let it Float around. It always worked for us.

I was at THV right after the 4th of July and can confirm that the bp method doesn't work there as we woke up hot. Must be motion sensored with a balloon/fan.

Hmm....balloons it is. Looks like I'll be calling to have some free balloons waiting for the kids.

If you can't get it bypassed, just call the front desk and they sent maintenance to do it, that's what we did and no problems. They know about it and they don't have an issue with fixing it for your stay.

Uh oh.............

We stayed at POP right after Memorial Day. We noticed that we were not able to run the thermostat as cold as we wanted and called maintenance. The first guy (at night) said he could not lower it and that it was a new policy BUT, we could request a medical thermostat if we had a medical condition.

Hot flashes are a genuine medical condition! So...........the next morning we called and they came up and installed a different faceplate on the thing and we were cool and comfortable the rest of our stay. They said they would swap out the faceplate on our checkout day.
