Mother's Day

We will be going to disney on Mother's Day, does disney do anything special on that day? I want to make sure it is special for my mom she does a lot for me

Will they have Mother's Day buttons? Also we will restruants do anything special, we mentioned it when we made the reservations at a Japan's dining restruant in Epcot and the new SW breakfast at HS?

Will they have Mother's Day buttons?

I don't "think" they have special Mother's Day buttons,but you could get one of the "I'm Celebrating" button and write "Mother's Day" on it.

We were there for Mother's Day 2012 and they did hand out flowers to mothers when entering Magic Kingdom.

I'm sure they did it at the other parks, but we only went to MK that day...

I believe they handed out roses, but I can't remember 100% right now.

Yes, I got a rose upon entering DHS on Mother's Day 2013. It didn't fare too well after RnR, though! Nice gesture in any event.

Epcot used to give out flowers to moms until they ran out. (Of course now that they have pay for Tragic Bands I am not guaranteeing they can afford that massive expenditure.)

I don't think you will have to mention it to the servers, but I also don't think they will be able to do much for you. After all there are LOTS of mothers there and actually a lot of locals do take Mom to Epcot on that day

I received a large paper flower the year we went to MK for Mother's Day. I put it in a Ziploc in my bag after a while, and it held up pretty well . The crowd was pretty light; I think more moms must pick Epcot for their day, esp with F&G going (I'd like to do that one year too). There are Mothers Day pins (not free buttons), or at least there were that year.

Make sure to get a nice PP pic (or someone to do one with your camera) in the Hub. The flowers are already very pretty by then! That was my MD request--breakfast at The Wave, then a NICE picture in front of the castle. It's still my fave . Enjoy your day with your mom!!

Thanks, I hope they do the flower thing again, that seems super cute. Do they hand it out for the people arriving early for their ADR before the park opens?

Last year, they were circulating around the front of the MK handing out flowers to all of the women before the park opened, though I don't know how early they started. It was sweet.

They used to take pix of mothers and their kids at Epcot. They then mailed you a pix later on. And it was FREE!! Sadly, this went the way of many other nice things WDW offered. It was great while it lasted!!
