So what are you getting your mothers?
What would you like to get?

I am stuck ...please help

I'm not too creative this year. Frankly, with all I'm dealing with after our accident I'm having a hard time just fixing dinner. I am sending flowers to my mom. She lives 400 miles away and she's a hoarder, so she doesn't need anything else. I know when I go down there in June those (dead) flowers will still be sitting there on the shelf, with about 15 other vases of dead flowers. :guilty: When I go down there I'll take her out to Olive Garden or Golden Corral, go with her to her bluegrass band so she can "show me off", go to the doctor with her, clean up one of the bedrooms to make it safe for the children when they come down to visit, and watch some movies with her. And I'll cook for her and put the leftovers in the freezer so i'll know she has at least *some* healthy things to eat. She is a very independent lady so she doens't think she needs any help. You have to be sneaky about it.

I bought both mothers Carol Burnett's autobiography. They both love to read and they both loved to watch her on Saturday night.

I sent my mom and MIL cookies from Carolina Cookie Company. So good and not too expensive. I am hoping to go out for dinner or a movie.

I lost my mom several years ago, so I don't have any shopping to do for anyone.

My daughters will send me flowers and I have asked for a new laptop case because DD16 needed one and "borrowed" mine.

I bought myself a Mother's Day present - an iPad!! It won't be delivered for a couple of weeks but I am so excited!!!!!

I got my Mom a Haan steam mop, and my MIL a gift card to Home Depot to use for starting her garden. :)

My mom lives 800 miles away. Lately she's been expressing that she's lonely for me, so I'm going to give her a year of daily phone calls from me for Mother's Day.

MIL won't ever accept any gifts....so I'll cook something and send it over for her to put in her freezer.

What I want....and iphone....pleeeeeeease????

We are taking my mother out to her favorite brunch.

I don't want anything. I HATE Mother's day. Hallmark made the holiday up to suck more money out of people. I am lucky that my kids and DH show me they care every day of the year.

I bought my mom a Vera Bradley bag. She commented on my bag (Libby) the last time we were together so I left her poke around the site and tell me what she liked. They had a sale on the Morgan tote a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't help but take advantage, but for their shipping cost.

Me TOO!!! Mine came the other day. It is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worship:

I'm getting the Moms hanging plants.

I'm so blessed, my dear Mom is 80yo :lovestruc. This week we'll be doing our annual trip for spring flowers to plant in her garden. Also bought her a Christian CD she'll enjoy, some nice perfume she won't splurge on for herself and will get a big bouquet of balloons as she loves them! I plan to make yummy chocolate covered strawberries for her and our DD's. Saturday I'm taking her for hair cut & style, followed by our dressing up for a dinner outing w/my sweet DH. It's so sad :guilty: to see her health getting more frail each day. She's my best friend who I love bunches, she gave me life, and I try to help her enjoy not only Mother's Day, but every day she's in my life . For all too sadly,
I'll go with DH to take flowers to his dear Mom's resting place.

What would I like to get: I want my 3 wonderful DD's & DIL, who are mothers also, to enjoy their special day :)! I'm not picky and don't need a thing altho the kids seem to enjoy spoiling me, any plans I leave up to them. I do enjoy being with my family more than anything, so it's wonderful there's talk of our out of state kids possibly coming in. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a wonderful day :flower3:.

I'm giving MIL a Vera Bradley apron/recipe box set and a gift basket from a local gourmet shop.
I'm giving my Grandmother a digital frame loaded with pics from throughout her life.
I'm sending dh's grandmother flowers.

I would like a CIA bootcamp vacation or a CIA cooking class. I may wait until October when they have their parent and teen day so dd can come too since she wants to go to school there.

Awww, feel better and bless you for doing all those things for your mom. I can only hope that one of my 3 daughters will treat me so kindly when they are grown

Me and my DD's are going to make chocolate covered strawberries to bring to MIL and DH is going to cook for us. What I want? I'm planning on using my foot bath for the first time for me and DD's. So we'll have a pedicure party. Then we'll go to the mall for window shopping and a chili at Wendy's.

well, My moms getting her mothers day gift combined with her birthday gift so:
A digital camera
Two memory cards
A pack of batteries
Software for photo editing
A cleaning cloth
A yoga book

I believe thats it. I tried to spend extra since its a combo gift. I also plan on paying for a hotel room for one night for her birthday.

My mom is a HUGE Disney nut so I got her a new tshirt from Disney store she has had her eye one and I'm also making her a set of six shadow boxes with 3D characters in them, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, daisy, goofy and Pluto. I have a cricut so these where super easy and I know she will love them!!

Me- Its also my bday month and I'm really wanting a new laptop!!!!

Mother's day was started back in the 1870's long before Hallmark. : )

I will take my Mom to brunch on the day before and get her a new pair of shoes I think.

My boys are taking me to lunch at my favorite place and my DH just bought me a new piece of art the other day and told him to consider it my Mother's day present but think he and DS are getting me a new pair of sunglasses and a new lemon tree. I heard them talking the other day about it .

Will send my MIL flowers and call of course, planning a surprise trip the week after as her gift. They live several hours away so we don't get to see them very often.

I'm giving my boyfriend's mom an iPod; her old mp3 player recently stopped working. As for my mom, I'm getting her exactly what she requested when I asked her what she would like - a new ceiling fan. :thumbsup2

Now I just need to buy cards...

Here is one of the shadow boxes I did. What do ya think?

Every year my boys help me clean out my garden and get it ready for planting. They don't like working in the garden, but on mothers day we crank up the music (margaritaville on Sirius) and we just have a fun time getting it done. I'm going to be major bummed out if it rains!

For my mom who is out of work and struggling for money I paid off one of her credit cards.

For the rest it is hanging baskets of flowers. I usually do the same for my mom, but this year was different.

I got my mom this shirt...

... for her upcomming trip to Las Vegas! Only, the one I bought her is a pinkish-orange color, and is a new color to the store and FULL price () But she's going to LOVE it!
