Hi,

Is Mother's Day really busy at Disneyland? We're arriving on Saturday, and Sunday will be our first day at Disneyland. Is that a bad idea? Our party consist of my DH, my DS (2 1/2 years old) and me. What are your thoughts??

Also, is there any special treatment for Moms that day at the park??? :goodvibes

Thank you in advance!!!

Here's a visual for what Mother's Day at DL is like: :crowded: Seriously, it's one of the most crowded days of the year, right up there with the 4th of July and New Year's Eve.

Probably won't make all that much of a difference, though DCA is usually less crowded. But DCA also doesn't hold as many people--30,000 max as opposed to DL's roughly 80,000.

I read in the laughing place a thread about this and they were saying that it wasn't that bad on Mother's Day. :confused3 Anyone else has any experience on the day at Disney?? I would really appreciate any input!! :Pinkbounc

We went on Mothers Day 2000. It wasnt all that bad, I've been there on more crowded days. It wont be slow and quiet, but it should be fine. When we went in 2000 all the moms got a carnation corsage when we entered. You can also purchase pins that say "Mothers Day 2006". There are a couple designs to choose from.

We've got Goofy's Kitchen Brunch reservations for 10AM and I'm hoping to be able to spend the afternoon & early evening in the parks. We'll start in DL and if the crowds get to much, we'll head over to DCA. It should be interesting as DW will be coming of a 22 mile walk on Saturday AM as prep for the San Diego Marathon in early June.

MY HUSBAND IS TAKING ME AND MY DAUGHTER, SON IN LAW, AND GRANDDAUGHTER ARE ALSO COMING. WE ARE GOING TO ARRIVE ON SUNDAY. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD THAT MOTHERS DAY IS NOT THAT CROWDED. WE SHALL SEE! :Pinkbounc

I will be there with my wife and 3 daughters. We will be there for a week so if it is real busy on Sunday, we will check out of the parks and take a swim at the GC pool, have dinner at downtown disney and just relax and enjoy the day without all of the crowds.

Only time will tell how busy it truly will be.
