Does anyone have any ideas on a nice breakfast place for Mother's Day. We're staying at OKW. It will be our first morning there, but we don't really want a character meal...

Thanks!

I am not sure how a Mother's Day breakfast would differ from a regular breakfast on vacation, but Olivia's has a pretty good breakfast.

We actually ate at the Epcot Mother's Day Brunch this year. It takes place in the Special Events audiorium at Epcot in the World Showcase. Although it was a beautiful atmosphere and we got to take character photos with Belle, Beast, Aurora and Prince Philip, the food was very underwhelming. Upon first glance at menu, it looked like a vast selection, but much of it was similar foods - several egg dishes, multiple breads, danishes, etc. There were a couple of cool stations set up for omelettes, carving meats, etc., but nothing spectacular considering the price. We were on Deluxe Plan so we used 2 credits, and we still had to pay for our own water (large bottles for $6.50 and they were warm - yuck!) as only juice, coffee and tea were included.

It was a nice brunch, but I would never do it again. Just wanted to put this info out there in case you were considering this experience.

We have eaten at almost all WDW restaurants, and we have had nice non character breakfasts/brunches at: Maya Grill @ Coronado Springs and Grand Floridian Cafe @ GF and Kona Cafe @ Poly.

Happy eating, Tiger :)

We did that Mother's day brunch at EPCOT one year also. While the menu looks fantastic, and the character selection is great, we actually only saw one princess, the food was luke warm at best and wouldn't do it again.

My suggestion would be, pick a nice restaurant you would enjoy eating at with your family and enjoy your mothers day!

I suggest Olivia's also.
Just by chance I happened to eat lunch there this year on Mother's Day. All women were handed a flower.

I forgot to mention in post above that we also like Olivia's very much. We always eat there - even if we weren't DVC members, we would still eat there as it's a cute little restaurant, good service and good food!

Happy eating, Tiger :)

I would agree on the special buffets - I did the Easter one last year. Although the setup was very nice, the food was only passable. Had dinner at Jiko which was 100 times better than the brunch.

I know you said that you didnt want a character meal for Mothers day......last May we went to Chef Mickeys for the mothers day brunch and it was fantastic....we had prime rib and salmon and other items not usually eaten at breakfast time.......the meal was enjoyed by the 11 in our group.....mostly adults....one 7 year old and two teens and one college kid ..
another good breakfast area is TS at Port Orleans Riverside......they have an outstanding breakfast....

1. Where do you find info re: Mother's Day Brunch in EPCOT?

2. Is the Chef Mickey Mother's Day brunch different from any other day- does it go into lunch time?
