Mothers Day and Birthday Gift ideas

Well it's that time of year again, when my MIL birthday and Mothers Day fall either on the same day or within a day or so. So, we need to get two gifts for her. We could really use some good ideas for gifts. We usually get her jewelry, ear rings or a necklace, but that is getting a bit old at this point.

Any ideas for two budget friendly gifts to send to her? Nothing too heavy (weight wise) cause they have to be mailed. Thanks.

I am sending MIL & DM Amazon GCs because they both love e-books. We have sent MIL Harry & David's, restaurant GCs, books, CDs, books on CD. Sometimes I send my mom plants for her yard, nightgowns, kitchen stuff, etc. She always asks for this stuff and also loves bath stuff.

Maybe a great gift (book, flowers, clothing of some sort, nice tote bag or purse) and a gift cert to somewhere she loves to shop/ eat?

Just ordered my mom a charm for her Pandora braclet. Free shipping, but at this late date it will not make it by Sunday. Will have to get a card out tomorrow!

Sent a Candle Impressions battery operated candle from QVC to my mother in law. My whole family LOVES them. They have lots to choose from. CI is the best according to my mom who has many. They have timers..once you set them they come on and go off automatically each night. We use them all over the house. Again, just ordered so probably won't make it by Sunday. I spent $25 with shipping for the one I chose.

On another thread there are suggestions for an edible arrangement. I received one t work once and it was excellent - even the junk food guys were snacking on it!

For myself (my bday is this month also) I want B&N gift cards (I have a Nook that I LOVE) and external speakers for my Droid X. I doubt I'll get them but that's what I want.

My MIL is getting lovely framed pictures of our boys! On high school cap and gown and one preschool.

We will also take her( and the whole family) out for lunch.

My Mom is getting a gift certificate to the local garden nursery. My sister and I go in two weeks and help her plant her annuals.

MIL got a year of Netflix. We were together in April so we set it up for her then. She'll just get a card on Sunday.
