Every year everyone (adult and child) get an old sock with stocking fillers. This year I got them because my sister was busy (though she has got some I believe). When it comes to presents I get told off for what they call poll volting going overboard on presents. When I started it didn't look too bad but, considering there are a couple more bits in the post I think I may have gone a bit overboard, here they are

Edables

1 thorntons little box with 4 chocolates
1 thorntons little box with 2 chocolates
1 thorntons pig
1 thorntons teddy bear lolly pop (chocolate)
1 bag thorntons chocolate money

Non edables
1 magic face cloth with nemo on it
1 horse toy (one of these the you press the base and it goes down)
one key ring with a reindeer on it
1 mickey mouse measuring spoon set
1 pewter acorn
1 pack recyled pencils
1 wooden elephant
1 gardener's soap
1 smelly wellies bath fizz
1 wooden flower note holder
1 light up pen with micky mouse on top
1 lucky cat (very small)
1 antenna top with snowman
1 little wooden toy not such what it is but it came free with other stuf so she can have it
1 wooden pencil sharpener with a duck on it
1 rhino badge pin
1 mini keyring torch
1 book mark with a little wooden fish on it
1 wooden pencil with teddy (moving arms and legs) on it
1 wooden pen with elephant top on it.

What do you think??

:rotfl:

I think they are fab ~ If I give you my address can you send one to me. Seriously there are some lovely things there. It is evident that a great deal of thought has been given. Lucky recipients.

Not overboard by our standards. Your relatives would be shocked if they knew the half of ours.

Me too, it sounds fab and I would love to open that stocking on Christmas Day :thumbsup2

In my family we all have to fill a stocking with lots of little gifts but we can only spend £5. It's been this amount for 10 years! :rotfl2:

Anyway there are 18 of us and we all have to sit and open our stockings and then guess who we think bought it. It is such a laugh and although it only costs £5 its the highlight of our christmas.

Now don't get me wrong you can get a lot of C**p for £5 but every year somebody gets a stocking that is amazing. The rules state you can spend £5 but if you buy a raffle ticket for 10p and win a prize that can go in. You can buy at charity shops etc and sometimes some of us wait until Christmas eve when all the sales start and get some real bargains.

Some of us even start in January as soon as we get the name of the person we're buying for

Last year I managed to fill my stocking with:

Robbie Williams live in concert Video 99p (reduced from 12.99)
BHS necklace and matching earings £1 (reduced from £9.99)
Glass arched photo frame £1 (reduced from £7.99)
Virgin Vie makeup - 10p (raffle prize)
Balderdash Game - £1.50 (charity shop)
and the rest made up from bits and bobs from Wilkos!

We always say it the most fun we have buying for each other and means you're constantly on the look out for Christmas presents all year round.

Wow that stocking sounds great!
This year I`m not buying DD much as she wants money, however amongst her small gifts is a pack of Persil washing tablets (with free Happy Feet penguin :) ) and a pair of slippers I got from a spa - didn`t wear and are still in their wrapper.
I hope she has a sense of humour on Christmas morning!
