My Dad just sent me an email. Told me that Mom was selected as "Mother of the Year" at their Church this past Sunday! She got a big bouquet of flowers, etc. I'm so proud of her. She certainly deserves it. She's a real princess!
What I'm not clear on is what the criteria of selection is. I mean, I'm her youngest child of three, and I'm, ummm, eh, over 40! So, what's the selection process? Do they wait "X" years after you become an empty nester, ensure none of your children are in prison or have declared bankruptcy, then nominate you?
In any case, it was a well-deserved award and I'm so proud of her! And I love her, too.
