Mother of the Bride dress

I need some advice. My DM is slightly stressing. At one point we were using short dresses for the bridesmaids. She got her dress and it is below the knee. Well things changed and now the bridesmaids are wearing long dresses. Should she wear a long one?

I think she should wear what she is comfortable in.

The only stipulations I'm putting on both mums is not the wedding colours

Laura, I think your mom's below the knee dress is fine. She doesn't have to match the length of the BMs' dresses. My mom's dress is a lot less fancy than the BMs' dresses. Tell her not to stress b/c everyone will be looking at you anyway

Laura- it doesn't matter what the length of her dress is. As long as she is comfortable. My DM wore an olive green dress that was to the floor and DMIL wore sapphire blue that was right below the knee.

I think mothers look great in shorter lengths. not too fond of them wearing long dresses. Long or short, she should def feel comfortable in whatever she ends up choosing.
