Mother gets arrested at magic kingdom

they have cameras all over the parks - so it could be disney security saw her punch the baby and reported it to the police..

we've witnessed the speed and force of disney security a few times...

for example, one time when we were in line at the haunted mansion, a gang of what i guess were local kids came barreling through the line...
i don't know how else to put it....the line was very dense and long and this gang came through very very loudly and threateningly and the line just parted for them as they were really frightening....

within moments a HUGE group of disney security - both in uniform and plain clothes - came swooping in on the gang....i have never seen that sort of show of force at disney....i didn't even know they were capable of it...
it was swift and forceful and completely overpowered the gang...

really very impressive.....i should have been scared that the gang could be in disney at all, but the speed at which disney took them out was incredible..

we all assumed that they must have been watching the gang on camera as they moved through the park and took them out the moment they actually did something...

anyway.....that incident and another at epcot made me realize that disney's always watching...

Was that in May? My sister and I saw some kids being questioned by Disney Security in Haunted Mansion after there'd been a delay in getting into the house.

Sadly its is becasue those employees have been told they are not allowed to do anything. They cannot get involved! With so many people suing they just choose to have a blind eye to that type of behavior. I risked being fired long ago by calling child services. By the time they got there the family was gone. I pray he lived to adulthood! Scary to think the child went home with that Mommy....Shades of Caylee...

As a teacher, I am required by law to report any suspect of child abuse. If I don't, I can lose my teaching license.

no, this was a few years ago, and disney didn't question them, they came in with massive force and physically overpowered the gang - when i say gang, i mean gang....these were people you didn't want to get in an altercation with...

when they came barrelling through the line, i was initially in shock that they were in the park at all, but within moments disney security was on top of them...

i'd say at least 20 disney security people.....in a very organized assault on this group....
there is no doubt in my mind that they had their eye on them and were organizing an assault.....it was swift and forceful.....

the other incident that stands out in my mind - we were standing in line for Living with the Land....there was a family from argentina in front of us....i'd chatted with them a bit, so i knew where they were from...

this family was completely minding its own business when all of a sudden one of the men from the group in front of them starting beating up the father....

i have never seen a line scatter as quickly as that one did...

the group in front of the argentinian family was a group of about 5 or 6 really big guys....not to stereotype, but i wouldn't be surprised to hear they had motorcycles....anyway....when i first saw them in line i thought to myself to be sure to keep my distance from them...

so one of them starting beating up the argentinian father and all of the rest of us in line scattered.....within a very short time....not more than a minute, disney security was there....really in the blink of an eye.....we were very impressed at how quickly they showed up....and again, with quite a show of force and took out that group....

gosh....telling these two stories - i sure hope nothing like either of those two things happens when we're there...

Wow, I'm required by law to report anything I suspect as child abuse. How can someone get fired for reporting it? :sad2:

I keep wondering how they caught her. Did she stay in one place until security came? Did someone follow her? It just seems too easy for someone like that slip off in to the crowd and be hard to find.

Not the exact samething but when I worked for a store, we were told straight up interfer with illegal activity you will be fired. It was a liabilty to the company that the criminal would sue and that the company did not want us the employee hurt. That was their first point to make. They stressed that they did not want us hurt. Today, you just don't know how someone may react.

You have manadatory reporters, like teachers and doctors, which I guess is suppose to be the safety net. But when something like this happens, we as witness need to step up. If more people were to step up and say I saw this, than maybe this would not happen. I don't know. Kiddos to the people who stepped up and defended this poor child.

There isn't ONE reason (good or bad) that would justify punching or kicking a 1 year old child. There are other ways to get a child to do what you want them to do. This is just discusting...this woman needs help...she also needs parenting classes.

I think that, too. If she's punching a baby in public, what happens at their house?!?! Disgusting.

If she did this in public, what did she do in the privacy of her home???? :scared1:

Hoping the authorities will investigate this and protect the baby and any other children she may have! :sad2:

There are SO many people in this world who should not have children...

I agree!!! I am so tried of hearing about parents harming their kids it has gotten me so depressed I have stop trying to listening to these types of stories.

I'm glad to hear they are on top of things like that. That makes me feel better. I think people forget how much they are being watched. Now that you say that I think I remember someone else saying how fast security swooped in. I forget what it was for though.
