I'm planning a mother/daughter trip for my mom and I for Sept 08. I just assumed we'd do POFQ.. I've stayed onsight 2 times.. once CBR and once POFQ. I LOVE pofq. Mom's never stayed on sight.

A the time of the trip I'll be 32..mom 60... money *IS* an issue and it's a stretch that I"m even doing a moderate...

What resort would YOU recommend for us and why?

POFQ-I just think it's such an easy place to get around. Smaller, less bus wait, and it's really pretty.

This is a lovely trip you're planning! What a special time this will be for you and your mom!

I'd also recommend POFQ - its so quiet and peaceful! Its not a large resort at all, so its easy to get around.

If money is really an issue, check out Pop Century! We just returned from a two week stay at Pop and it was great!!! My mom also traveled with me & DD, and she loves looking around at all the stuff! Our room was right by the Big Wheel in the 70s Bldg, and even though it was 4th of July week, it was a very quiet area! We never heard our neighbors!

Have a great trip!!!

My mom and I are planning a mother/daughter trip for 2008 too but we're going in May. I left the resort choice up to her (with my input) since she hasn't been since 1986. She chose POFQ due to pictures and reviews. We got a great rate with a 20% AAA discount.

However, if price really becomes an issues then I'd suggest ASMo. My DH & I stayed there in 2000 and found that it really met our needs and the theming carried the magic of the parks back to the resort with us. For some reason, we didn't have the same experience with POP. I don't know what it was but we really didn't enjoy our stay there as much but that's just our opinion. For the amount of time you spend in your room, those resorts are a great value.

Either way you're at WDW and will have a wonderful vacation together!

Well I did pofq in 05 and ADORED it... I'd LOVE to take mom somewhere like poly or something. IF she knew the prices she'd kill me.... but I want to do this .. this will likely be our only mom'daughter trip like this to disney so I"d really like to do a mod. I'm hoping the following year to bring along the sis and her family (with kids) and do a value.

We did a 3 generation trip in March...My mom, me and my DD10 celebrating their birthdays.
We had 2 connecting rooms at POP...they both loved it for different reasons.
However, once I took my mom to the GF to show her where we stayed...her eyes lit up!! lol....
However, I would try CSR...it has deluxe amenities for a mod, great bus service and I want to try this next time!
Have fun!
