Mother Daughter, Matching T Shirts, POR Princess Trip!!

Day 3 - On to Day 3!

We began with a character breakfast at Animal Kingdom! Mom and I both love a good breakfast and I was intrigued with all the character breakfasts going on so I made a ressie at Tusker House. This is probably something we wouldn't have done if we hadn't had free dining but I was so glad we did. I think we both had a lot of fun. I wasn't sure if we would - Mom is 70 and I am 41 - I wondered if it would be something we should do - or something that is just for kids. Mom was a really great sport and I think we both enjoyed seeing the characters in their Safari gear plus the food was good and like I said we love a good breakfast! All in all it was great fun!

Then we went on the safari! Taking photos from a fast moving vehicle is quite a challenge - we were laughing hysterically about this - every time we got our camera poised - we launched off and our photos were lost.

Two of the nicest things we did this day were the shows Finding Nemo and It's Tough to be a Bug - really great - sorry no photos!

The parade was also good - Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade!

We were then off to Hollywood Studios to see the evening show Fantasmic! Neither of us had done this before - it was really great fun. We met some nice people in the crowd - chatted while we waited for the show to start. I think Mom liked the atmosphere at Hollywood Studios too - plus they had great shopping! Always a plus for a princess trip!

Days 4 & 5 - One of the reasons I wanted to take Mom at this time was because the Food and Wine Festival had started at Epcot. We started our day with Soarin and then spent most of the next two days grazing the Food and Wine Festival. We finished with the Fireworks - reflections of Earth which we both really enjoyed. Our second day at Epcot we ended with dinner at Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club Resort. We really enjoyed this dinner - and the whole atmosphere of the Beach Club resort was right up our alley!

We were also able to catch the Beauty and Beast show at Hollywood Studios - we loved the boat ride from Hollywood Studios to Epcot!

We came home to this little surprise! We thought she was a peacock!

We thought she looked very royal! The jelly bellies I bought at Mouse Gears at Epcot!

Next - Our Final Day - Day 6 Supercalifragalistic Breakfast and Downtown Disney

Love the pics of WL. We were just there in June, and I really miss it. My favorite part is that boat to MK. The tea at GF looked wonderful. This is the first TR that I have read that included that.

Day 6 - Our Final Day Oh well, we had a really great time!

Since Mom and I both love Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland (Mom's a retired librarian), I decided to put in the Supercalifragalistic breakfast at Park Fare Grand Floridian. The breakfast was great - included specials like lobster Benedict and strawberry soup. We really enjoyed these characters as well.

We also really loved the new marble floors they are putting in at the Grand Floridian and took a few photos of those.

Then off to Downtown Disney for a little last minute shopping, treats at Ghiradelli, and take out from Wolfgang Puck Express before boarding the ferry back to Port Orleans Riverside to catch our magical express bus. By the way - we used Resort Airline Check in and it worked great! So easy!! We were swimming in pixie dust!

We were also impressed with the Lego shop!

Time to go home. What a great Princess Trip - memories to last a life time!

How fun!! I'm taking my mom on her first trip too (see PTR below!). She's 72. I really want to make it special for her as well. Looking forward to reading your ideas as you head down the home stretch!

Have a really great time with your mom! I am so glad we did our trip together - it was really special and would do it again in a heart beat. Enjoy all the planning too - so much fun! I look forward to reading your report.

I am so glad we made our shirts. I still wear them off and on when I want to remember our great trip! Enjoy making yours!I think I got lost on the Disign boards several times!

So you've been to Istanbul and Ephesus??! Great places to visit! I live in Ankara - much calmer and a bit boring but a great place to live - plus I end up going to Ephesus and Istanbul a couple of times every year anyway - Turkey is a nice place for travel/tourism.

My Mom does look good for 70 - she'll be happy you said that!! POR is a very relaxing resort! Of course you will have a great time where ever you stay but we did enjoy the peace and tranquility of POR! Enjoy your next trip!
