Mother/Daughter DxDP 150 FOOD Pictures!!! 10/2-10/10 *COMPLETED TODAY 12/27*

We got up EARLY this day... DD wore her princess dress and her crown from BBB on our last trip. We were the first ones at MK and the first ones into the park. We got pics taken with no one in them and then we were the first ones to check into CRT.

They brought just me and DD into the castle and put a rope up behind us to keep everyone else out. A CM brought out a sticker for DD that said "Honorary Princess of the Day". DD was SO excited but I think I was MORE excited.. lol. We were brought around the wall to where Cinderella was waiting for us to take pictures. Then we went upstairs and we were seated by the windows overlooking Fantasyland. It was perfect.

Our waiter brought this out for us:

Everything was delish. We ordered off the menu. I had been here for breakfast a year prior with my son but the menu was very limited at that time. I had stuffed french toast which was very good but I was very excited to see the Lobster & Crab Crepes on the menu. Lobster for breakfast? How can you go wrong with that?

They brought out a wand for DD and did the wishing ceremony. The princesses came out one by one. Our food arrived and we dug in.

DD's was a pretty simple plate with scrambled eggs, french toast sticks and bacon. While it doesn't look like much, this was perfect for DD. She doesn't eat much at mealtime but she was happy with this.

Mine was just amazing. I loved it. It was so flavorful and yummy. I finished it all and I don't think I could've eaten another bite. The waiter commented on how small the dishes are and he said they should give you more since you pay so much but honestly, I thought it was perfect.

At the end of our meal the waiter brought out a cupcake with a candle in it for DD.

While it was nice and all, I just don't get what they're thinking... ORANGE frosting!? for a princess!? Could they not get pink or white? I just didn't get the orange and it made for some awful messy pictures of DD trying to eat it.

It was a great meal once again (the third time I've eaten in the castle) and while everyone seems to say it's not worth it... I think it IS worth it. I love it and will be back!

Love seeing positive reviews of 1900 p faire for dinner! We are doing that this year!

Ooo, you are going to love it! I plan to go back next December!

I'm excited. Doing it mainly for characters. I can't lie. Haha. Hear a LOT of complaints on the food though.:/

I love your trip report so far! My DD is 5 and I would love to take a girls only trip, but I think DH would be sad that he and DS would be left at home. LOL

The food is really not that bad. I go into these places expecting the worst so no matter what, I'm impressed.. I come from a small town where we have a Pizza Ranch and China Buffet. Anything compared to those is an improvement to me!

We had a lunch reservation at Hollywood & Vine. We have been here twice before for breakfast and I've heard AWFUL reviews of lunch and dinner so naturally, I wanted to check it out for myself. We arrived an hour early and were told that they were too backed up to let us in early. We returned 15 minutes prior to our reservation and waited another 5 in the sweltering heat before they called our name. We were seated at a 4 chair table (actually 2 chairs and a booth). Oso was right there to greet us so we got one character knocked off our list before even eating.

My plate looked like this:

I believe the soup was a lentil bean soup, then there was a pot roast, sub sandwich, corn salsa & lobster mac & cheese. The lobster mac & cheese was yummy. I was not that hungry though :(

DD got:

I ended up finishing her chicken nuggets. They were fantastic!!!

For dessert I got this:

DD picked out a cherry crumb with ice cream that I failed to take a picture of. Both were excellent. Our service was fantastic and all of the characters came around. Jake took DD by hand when it came time to do the parade and go dance. She was all smiles. Jake is her favorite. She did not receive anything extra for her birthday though. I thought she might get a card or something there but nope, nothing.

While I did enjoy it, I think we're done with this place for awhile. I wish they would move in some new characters and switch it up a bit. The food was great though and the service was very good. I just don't get why anyone would not like this place ???

Wow, everything looks wonderful!!!! I'm starving looking at all these pics..LOL.. I can't wait to see more.

Your Hollywood & Vine lunch plates look good. I haven't been there since 1999!

Great report and pics. Now I'm definetly splurging on a Caramel Apple when I'm there in Fed. :p

I've enjoyed your updates!! How exciting that your DD was princess for a day at CRT! Being the first guests in the park has to be an extra special feeling! And I love that they have a lobster crepe on the breakfast menu now!

I've never been to H&V but from the look of your apple dessert, I would go for that! It looks so good! (I am a huge fan of cherries too so I would have to have both!)

We had an early ADR at Boma for dinner. In fact, it was for 4:30 (right when they opened). DD spent some time banging on the drums... we walked around AKL a bit... just love it there! Finally, it was time. We were the second family to be seated. Our waiter took DD by the hand and the other waiters were joking that he should have a red carpet laid out for that princess. We were seated in one of the "pod" areas at a small table. And off we went...

Since our trip in May, I had been dreaming of the seafood gumbo. I almost fell over when I saw it was on the buffet that night!

YUM! This stuff is SO good. I'm not a fan of the mussels but everything else in it is delish! My MIL recently tried to copy the recipe and she nailed it! It was amazing getting to eat something of Disney goodness at home!

DD got her plate:

She loved the fruit the most.

On my second trip, I got some of that yummy salmon and some other soup...

The soups alone are worth going here. I was already full but DD had to use the potty so we had a bit of a break and when I came back, I got another plate:

DD got a surprise from the waiter... a cute cupcake with a candle in it and some gummy bears sprinkled around it. I must've forgotten to take a picture because DD was being so adorable... then she announces (TMI ahead) that she needs to poop! GREAT! lol... So we took another potty break and made our way back to the table to finally enjoy some dessert...

YUM! I love Boma. I've been here 3 times now and it has become a staple to every trip. I was excited to be eating here twice in a row on this trip... yes, we would be headed back for breakfast the following morning. We left and headed back to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic.

We were at AKL prior to Boma opening. We were the first ones seated and the first ones up to the buffet. One of the chefs came out and saw DD's birthday pin. She told us to wait here so we did. When she came back out, she had the biggest Mickey waffle I had ever seen!

Our waiter brought us over some syrup and showed DD how to fill the ears first... he paid so much extra attention to her. It was great.
Here's my plate:

I love the pecan rolls in Disney and the asparagus! Yum!

DD got a second plate:

She loved it all... much more than dinner the night before.

I got another plate of meat...

The turkey was my favorite... very yummy!

DD got yet another birthday cupcake (I did get a picture of this one)

We loved Boma's breakfast. On our next family trip, I will take DH here since he is such a picky eater...

Finally! We found the stand that has jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzels... and YUM! It was great!

Of course, we had to go eat lunch at Tusker House right after eating this... not the smartest dining decision ever but there's always room for more :thumbsup2

I had one of these while waiting for DD and DH to come off Kali! It was SOOOO GOOD!!! I was kinda sad when they got there and I had to share it!! LOL

This was our second time at Tusker House. We ate here for breakfast back in May and loved it. I was excited to try it for lunch. We tried to get in an hour early but they were extremely backed up. I heard them tell someone it would be a 90 minute wait for standby seating :rolleyes2 We wasted some time and came back closer to our ADR time. We were seated immediately (after our picture with Donald of course). Goofy & Daisy were right by our table when we sat down. Goofy made a huge deal over DD's Lilo dress. He started dancing the hoola right away. It was so cute! He tapped Daisy on the shoulder and she started dancing too. I caught it all on video. So we got the characters done quickly and then it was time to eat. I was really NOT hungry especially after that pretzel! But I managed to get this:

I loved the mango salsa stuff. Yum! I felt like mac & cheese so yay, I finally got a good helping :)
DD got this on her plate:
105_zps78552d7a.jpg

She is a massive cheese fan (being from Wisconsin) and the uncrustables were a huge hit with her. She hates crust.
At 90% of our meals we ordered milk. You can tell we're from Wisconsin... gotta have that milk! Our waiter was nowhere to be found to get a refill though. I was disappointed.
At the end of our meal the waiter came over with this:
107_zps8876bcb4.jpg

The boy across from us told her "Happy Birthday". So cute! We got a plate of desserts even though I wasn't sure how we were going to eat any of it:

In all, Tusker House was good. I'm not sure if I would go here again for lunch though. Yak & Yeti seemed better value to me. I think I'm just on character overload honestly. I liked the variety at this buffet though.

After our day at AK we went back to Pop to relax for a bit before heading off to the Poly for my favorite..... Ohana's!!! Yay!!! I've been here once before and DD has been as well but DD did not make it through the entire meal last time. She wasn't feeling good so DH came to get her (and DS) so me and my MIL could enjoy the rest of the meal. Anyways, I loved it and could not wait to be back. I made sure I was hungry too! Our ADR was for 7:55pm. I was hoping we would get to see Hallowishes from the restaurant if we were lucky enough to get a good view. We were seated against the windows but off to the side (there was a giant round table in front of us which was between us and the castle). While I liked the view, the lighting by our table was AWFUL. Super dark. DD participated in all of the fun stuff going on... she loved it. It seemed like we were getting up every 10 minutes to do some sort of song, dance, game or parade. I ate a ton of salad and then finally the potstickers and chicken was brought out. We didn't get any of the "meat" until 9pm! Everything came around once and our waiter asked if we were done (we still did not have the steak or shrimp). Our entire meal lasted until 10:20pm!!! It was delish and lots of fun but by the end I was just wanting to get out of there. Our waiter brought our bill and accidentally knocked over my glass of water. He used our napkins to clean it up and never even apologized. My video camera was on the table which got a pretty good dousing on it :( I found out later that the video I had shot of Hallowishes and some of the Boyz II Men concert from the next day was lost... not sure if the water had anything to do with it. The waiter never brought us anymore napkins, did no refills and no more water. I did not leave a very good tip. I was pretty peeved. I heard him tell all of his other tables to have a wonderful vacation at Disney... us? Nothing. lol... anyways, here are pictures!!!

I will be back next time again. Bad service does not deter me from that amazing food :)

I agree with the 'Ohana statement! I havent always had the best service but I will always go back because it is so good and completely different from what we normally do!
